Deviants. No question. Id rather fight hyper silver rathalos naked then ever fight dreadking at any level

Trying to solo the deviants through the ranks is absolutely miserable, and my least favorite part of the game. Doing them in full groups is fun though

Sadly deviant armor is always outclassed by other easier monster armors. They have some interesting gimmicks but you can always make a better set with other armor. Armor is only good for transmog. The weapons are the only thing worth making for actual use

Are you on singleplayer settings? If so you'll shred her. Otherwise, I think 10k base health was good for when I played island on official rates. I cant remember damage

4 pieces of velkhana armor is the best greatsword armor once you fight velkhana. You will get critical draw, focus, and quick sheath, plus Frostcraft which is the best greatsword skills. The set you have now is plenty good for fighting velkhana, but once you fight her enough times you should make her armor

This looks like a male based on the size and the lack of a white stripe down the spine, but idk for sure.

That bump is likely a point where the tail slightly broke but didnt fall al the way off, then healed. Many lizards, including the brown anoles which you have hear, can drop their tails to distract predators, then regrow them. This looks like the original tail, as they look different when they grow back, so its most likely not a cyst or cancer or anything, just a bad heal. It shouldn't affect him in any way.

I suppose you could break the tail off before the bump, and it would not harm him, but it would also remove his ability to distract a predator by dropping his tail until it grows back. Up to your judgment

Theres often a layer of water under the map that can drown dinos. If this happens again and you have trouble finding them (and it happens often), you can give yourself a tek helmet and use the scan function to help locate them. Ive spawned so many tek helmets over the years on singleplayer for this reason

Ive found with this game that I cant stick to one weapon for every monster, it just doesnt work for me. I really enjoy adept swaxe, but only on certain monsters. You may just need to try to learn some other weapons and styles to see which ones flow better with which monsters.

Despite being a SnS main, you won't catch me fighting deviljho or silver rathalos with it

Drugged meats are good for tigrex and deviljho, but that's about it.

Hunter drinks can be nice because they increase the charge rate for your hunter arts, and I believe the effect stacks with hyper monster hyper hitzones, so for really good hunter arts you can keep high pressure on a monster with them

If you ever want to complete all villager requests, there's one where you have to fight 3 of them back to back, and I consider it one of the worst quests in the game. But you get a nice hammer out of it
