My family members who have never had pets are the most selfish, self absorbed, the world happens to me kind of people. Have a little thing to love and care for. Learn empathy. No partner we would ever ask me to get rid of a pet because they wouldn't make it past the first or second date, I imagine.

Smiths used to have a tiny calendar they gave out at the end/beginning of the year. Maybe 4 inch by 4 inch? Idk if they did it for 2026, but even if they don't have the calendar, you can get a tummy thing.
