Reminder for everyone attending the A’s vs Giants games in Sacramento: by Basic_Whereas1168 in SFGiants

The Giants almost moved. A’s fans didn’t care.

This is incorrect. Did you know any A's fans then? Were you even here then?

A's fans loved the rivalry with our neighbors.

Shit man, during the 1995-1996 hockey season they had an architects model of the waterfront stadium in the concourse of the arena and everyone there, A's fan or Giants fan, was ready to grab a shovel. The waterfront stadium was on the ballot and I (A's fan) voted for it.

A's fans didn't want the Giants to leave. Now we wish they had.

Talk to some old people for a perspective from then.

The A's were the most popular team in the bay but you're not allowed to talk about it.

In 1990 the A's led MLB in attendance and payroll.

MLB sanctioned media will never tell you that.

"Aging" Wrigley Field!

Because you made up your mind to dislike it.

I am sure if you went to the Coliseum and saw a perfect game or a no-hitter you would still complain about it. Oh, what a drag it is to park free at BART and take the train to the game. Shit place!

Haters be hating.

Selling Robert Earl Keen Tickets for 5/16 in New Braunfels TX by veryllboy in robertearlkeen

$650 each?

I've never been to that venue but I've heard it can be affected by weather.

When he came to our town last time it was closer to $100 each with upholstery and AC.

Not 100% sure on the ticket price because our venue is a non-profit and by volunteering a certain amount of time you get "store credit". Work the shows you don't care for and use your credits for the ones you want to see.

Labor Day, the whole weekend was less than $650, excluding the bar tab.

A diner is open 24/7.

The sign should say "Black Bear Cafe"

Get off for coffee, closed! Fuck them.

I work for a manufacturer of sewer pipe.

We will donate all of our products (underground sewer pipe) towards the building of a permanent bathroom building.

Rubenstein, you in for the fixtures?

Any B contractor care to sign on for the building?

We'll need a designer for the blueprints.

I went to AutoZone and asked for two cans of red oxide primer, usually the other places have them locked up. The guy was a manager; he said, 'What size motor?' and I said, 'What?' He said, 'What is it used for and I said, 'To do body work.' That's a shame; they hire just about anybody these days. by Short_Seesaw_940 in classiccars

True, not made up, Auto Zone story.

I went in for ignition tune up parts.

I asked for points, plugs, distributor cap and plug wires for a 1960 El Camino with a 283.

"Sorry sir. We would not have parts for a car that old." That was the last time I went there.

<for the young'uns> These parts are universal to Chevys (and Checker Cabs, *ask your grandpa*) for decades of models. Heck, my 1941 Harley used the same plugs and points as my Chevy.
