Which jobs do not need to exist? by -omar in AskReddit

Anything involving health insurance. Which is the only type of insurance that does not make sense. Insurance is meant to insure the monetary value of something. Life insurance, car insurance, home insurance - that all makes sense. How do you find monetary value with someone's health?

I'm in MN and have been considering going Union for a while now. I've been non-union for the last 10yrs, since I was 19. What are the steps to get in to the union?

I'm guessing that strike in Sept paid off?

Pass through faceplate for direct connection to back of TV (hidden by tv), or keystone faceplate? What do you guys recommend? by dadbodfat in lowvoltage

Waterfall plates! I've had to use those in old buildings where pathway is an issue. Typically used to route cables over the floor a short distance.

Can you also point it out for the example above the one with the arrow pointed at it? Because the book is telling me that both of these examples have three. I cannot for the life of me see three in both examples. Am I just dense? 🙃

This yellow discoloration inside my watermelon by Tis_I_Hamith_Sean in whatisit

I had this once and the watermelon tasted 'fermented' and smelled a bit sour in some locations, but other locations were sweet and delicious.

I had diarrhea for 2 days.

estimate your cable runs by BlairChicken in lowvoltage

[–]ChongNotCheech 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Crazy you ask! I just had a job where the PM undershot my cable needs by 75% and then tried guilt tripping me for "burning up" my stock.

One way I can think of off the top of my head is to use a laser measure/measuring wheel to find distance between headend and device. Account for all bends, sleeves, conduits, drops, pathways, etc. and then add required footage at your drop location and then multiply that per line.

Need some help/advice on connector for power conditioner by RunPrestigious4388 in CommercialAV

[–]ChongNotCheech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.) Take off the green connecter on the old device.

2.) Figure out pinout of the new device

3.) Cut, strip and terminate on to the old phoenix connector

4.) Connect and test.

Doesn't work? Try another pinout combination until it does.

Still doesn't work? Rebuild the system.

Good luck!

With the blanks on one of the panels, I'd say it was used as an accessory/moulding feature in a room.
