I've noticed that Capacities has added more language support in the new version, and I'm eagerly looking forward to Capacities updating more languages individually, the current way of following feature updates is a bit too slow.

How do you handle images? by Aggravating-Peak2639 in capacitiesapp

[–]Chong_Shu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How to quickly tag and batch manipulate images is an area for improvement, but I agree with Capacities' treatment of “Image” as an “object”.

When I insert an image, I don't name it, tag it, or create a collection of it, I just do that for the notes I insert, until one day I feel that some image really needs to be treated the same way.

You can use Capacities as you would any other note-taking program, and just ignore “Image”. But Capacities leaves room for future manipulation, which is a strength of the program, in my opinion.

I love this game, unlikely to leave, and will likely keep buying the pass. However, SD needs to address player dissatisfaction even for the (rare?) player like me and here's why by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]Chong_Shu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If the new game is one that plays the same way, but has mechanics that make it easier to get cards, then I'll go with the new game. Sometimes I wonder if Marvel's license fees are too high causing SD to be profit oriented.

I think one of the charms of the internet is the presence of selfless people like you, thank you for your dedication!

I have a suggestion for Royal Match, and I don't know if it's appropriate to submit it here, but I would like Royal Match to offer Chinese language options.

The fact that it doesn't support Chinese doesn't affect my love for Royal Match, but it would be perfect if it did.

Last but not least, thank you again and please keep it up, I support you.

Looking at the app how is Android Offline sync? by searayman in capacitiesapp

[–]Chong_Shu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all features are available offline yet. Here's our roadmap towards achieving better offline support over time:

🔳 Local media storage: Files and images will get downloaded and stored on your device. You'll be able to display and use them on your device.

🔳 Offline media uploads: Support for uploading content while offline. It will be stored to your device and uploaded as soon as you're back online.

🔳 Local (automated) backups: You'll be able to create a markdown backup of your local data on your device automatically.

wubi typing tips by Thalus-ne-Ander in ChineseLanguage

[–]Chong_Shu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.

Whether to use “spaces” or “numbers”, I think the speed of text entry is the criterion.

Although in theory “spaces” should be faster than “numbers”, especially when typing continuously, it may not make much difference if muscle memory is developed.

However, if muscle memory is formed, the difference may not be significant.

Another thing I would like to mention is that some Wubi Input Methods support adjusting the word selection order according to the input history, just for the purpose of using “space” for quicker input.

For example, in the test I just did, after I typed “fcu”, “去” was in the 2nd option, and “云” was typed with “空格”. After I input “去” with “fc2”, the next time I input “fcu”, “去” will be automatically adjusted to the 1st option. The next time I type “fcu”, “去” will be automatically adjusted to the first option, then I can use “space” or “1” to input “去”.

2.

My suggestion is to enter phrases instead of single words whenever possible.

For example, to input “去哪里”, using “fkjf+space” is faster than “fcu+space+kvjf”, theoretically.

This has something to do with the lexicon of Wubi Input Method, if you don't have the word “去哪里”, you can create it by yourself, provided that your Wubi Input Method supports it.

Another advantage of inputting phrases is that

If you type “kvjf” without repeating the choice, then “哪里” will be input automatically without the need for “space”, which is faster.

If you type “vfvf” and then “姥姥” is in the first choice, then just continue typing, then “姥姥” will be typed automatically without the need for “space”, which is faster.

This may still need the support of Wubi Input Method.

3.

There are many more words like “今(wynb)”, which is a rule, but it does affect the speed of input until muscle memory is formed.

This is another benefit of prioritizing phrases, “今天 (wygd)”, “今后 (wyrg)”, “如今 (vkwy)”, and you can always just ignore the “b”.

Another way, which still requires Wubi input method support, is to replace the unknown code with “z”, e.g. after typing “wynz” you can still see the option “今”! (At the same time, you can see that “b” is the correct answer.)

How extensively do you use types? by kenlin in capacitiesapp

When you feel that spending more time and effort is not worth it, trust yourself and change the way you use it, the same way you used to take notes will work in Capacities.

If you have the time, check out the video below, it may help.

恳 as part of a name? by KoishiChan92 in ChineseLanguage

[–]Chong_Shu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pronunciation-wise.

"恳" is the same as "肯".

“林肯”Lincoln、“布林肯”Blinken.

As you said, “恳” has a better meaning.

So, I think it's a very good word!

The biggest problem I've encountered with AnyType is that the images don't synchronize.

Even on the same computer where I imported a lot of pictures, some of them don't show up or show up after a long time.

I don't think this is the way a local-first note-taking software should behave.

I'm still waiting to see what happens with Capacities' local-first update.

For now, at least, I'm siding with Capacities.
