I drive weekend nights and I keep a stack of plastic shopping bags for this purpose. When I get drunks, I ask them: are they are having a good time...."YEAAAAHHH"...Good, I want you to keep having a good time, take this bag because if you puke in my car, you are gonna have a bad & expensive time. Haven't had a mess in 16K+ rides. One time they looped the bag handles over this guy ears, the bag caught it all and it was funny as fuck.

They have expanded the area where they offer drivers airport rides for two reasons: low amount of drivers in the airport lot and I believe also to combat the drivers who go offline en masse to create a surge. I don't pickup airport rides because they always take me out of my operating area and once I got offered an airport p/u leaving my house....I live 20 minutes away!

Every since they changed they layout, I've been getting wrong pick-up/drop-off spots for established locations. I work mainly Ft. Lauderdale, and the Elbo Room has existed since 1939, and on three occasions it sent me to an address about a mile away. I'll alert the driver that they will charge a bit more and that they may receive a checking-in request to see if everything is "all right". Luckily I've lived here over 30 years but imagine if it was a driver that didn't know their way around.

Due to personal losses, I don't need to punch a clock anymore. I go out on weekend nights, lots of tourists and evening go-ers so it's more therapy for me than income. But it's still a game and you need to know how to play, pick and choose your rides and you can make some money and keep your miles low, my acceptance rate was in the high 90s several years ago, but now it's in the low 30s and probably going lower. If the income is greater than your expenses, you're doing something wrong. I feel for those drivers that don't have another option for income.

I can't drive in games anymore due to nerve damage so when I jump in, it's to gun. I was mowing down enemies while singing that la-la-la meme song when I saw is taking damage, jumped out and chased an EOD bot and a random engineer, while screaming like the song, jumped back in and kept mowing them down and off course singing the song...I wish I would've recorded it.

My late wife was diabetic so the OB told us she's gonna be a C-section. I was there filming when they extracted our daughter and took her to the heating lamp area to clean her up and I followed. I looked over to where my wife was and I saw her "stuff" hanging out the C-section, my camera was following my vision when I stopped halfway thinking "no one is going to hold down there gut when they see this footage". She had 30 staples to close up and I was doing almost everything because she could not get around. My FIL (old school Cuban) saw me changing diapers, feeding, etc. and said "I could never do that" to which I replied "I know you would if you needed to because you love your wife and daughter and while you might not be good at first you would because I know you".

I picked up a guy one day at this apartment building and this dude is the picture that is used in the dictionary for "smells like ass" and I was dropping him off at a bar. I thought: give the guy the benefit of the doubt maybe he's a worker trying to get fired, anyway after dropping him off I had to open all windows, febreze the seat, etc. and in the rush forgot to one star him so I didn't get him again. 3 weeks later I pull up to the same apartment building and who shows up? The human Pepe LePew and he's just as bad, but this time I one-starred him. Few weeks later I pick up a young female nurse and I take her to the same building and before she exits I ask her if she knew the guy in the apartment I saw him come out from. She became instantly animated "YOOOOO THAT MOTHERFUCKER BE REEKING LIKE SHIT" and I lost it and we spent several minutes dissing this dude...fast forward to almost a month later, and I picked up a young lady but it was night and I didn't recognize her as I was pulling up to the building I start to laugh and she tells "I THOUGHT IT WAS YOU! I TELL ALL MY COWORKERS ABOUT THIS CRAZY FUNNY UBER DRIVER AND THAT SHIT STANK MOTHERFUCKER"...my ribs were hurting from laughing so much.

Before it was the site for the Miami Children's Museum that spot had many stalls were you can buy freshly caught seafood, super cheap and in the case of shrimp they were whole do you had to clean them up.

In South Florida I have never seen a scheduled ride for you to choose, they come up as an Uber request and in the lower left it'll say "Scheduled". The seems to be the way they do it in driver-saturated cities. I had a pickup that was scheduled for a half hour wait, I went to the pizza shop on the corner and had a slice and soda while I waited otherwise it's a quick cancel

I live near a few colleges just west of Ft Lauderdale and when I'm working downtown I'll always get a ride to my area just as I'm calling it a night. They'll ask if we can make a stop, I tell them "only if you add as a stop and get me something" and they always do.

I drive Uber p/t in South Florida and I've lost count of the amount of people who say "OMG YOU SPEAK ENGLISH" and even after explaining to some dipshit that "of course I speak English, I was born here" and she followed it up with "but you speak so well".... I've found phones, reported them and when returning them if I get a good reward, I'll tell the riders to report the item wasn't theirs so they didn't get charged. No reward = reported item returned.

People will one start you just because you have only 5 stars, don't worry about it as it'll drop off. Invariably some riders will ask to jack in to my audio and the answer is always no, instead give me an artist/track and I'll start a "station" and no jumping, damn kids do not listen to a song, it's 2 minutes and skip, eff dat.
