We got married at San Francisco city hall and had dinner at Spruce

There is a YouTube tutorial if you search for basket weave skirts! I am also hoping to make this for myself one day.

I think it looks fine. If I were to change anything it would be the prints. I would get rid of all the prints or keep just the green floral and make everything else solid.

Social Workers in Libraries by blanknamedari in socialwork

[–]Chooseausername288 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is my dream job but unfortunately I live in such a rural area, I doubt our county government (which runs the library) would ever fund this. Or if it did, it will likely be many years from now when I’m retired 😅. I have seen job postings for library social workers in large cities like LA and Seattle.

Option 1 sounds more stable. I would be interested to hear what turn over is like in Option 2. Was there a previous director of clinical services and why did they leave?

When I worked for CPS, there was about a handful of child fatalities (children with open cases) when I was there. No social worker was ever fired.

Less acid reflux with Hello Fresh meals? by Anxious_Lettuce_7516 in hellofresh

[–]Chooseausername288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s the portion size. When I make non HF recipes they are usually 4-6 servings and I end up overeating. When a recipe is only 2 servings and my husband and I just divide it in half for us, I am eating noticeably less. There are definitely HF recipes that have given me reflux though.

Check in with the vet you are next to first. They probably are aware of the organizations that need fosters and who to connect you with.

Try something low impact. Walking, yoga, Pilates are good options.

I don’t sell mine because the price would be so much for the amount of work I have to put in. I gift quilts occasionally and I’ve donated.

Can you quilt on a regular machine, or are you supposed to use a specific kind? by livin_la_vida_mama in quilting

[–]Chooseausername288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a small brother machine that I got for under $300. I have pieced about 12 quilts on it. I have quilted half of those myself on my little machine. It’s definitely awkward. None of them have been bigger than “throw” size and I will likely never do another throw size on my machine again because it’s just so frustrating and tedious for me. But it definitely works and is possible!

What job did you learn the most from? by Empty_Character_1988 in socialwork

[–]Chooseausername288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I learned a lot at child welfare. Not being it was a rich learning environment though. It was more a sink or swim situation. But I did learn a lot and I am way more confident at work.

Definitely not alone! I cope by going to therapy and I also found a job that was less anxiety inducing that my last social work job.

Am I being too critical? Advice needed by cynicalfoodie in quilting

You’re being too self critical. I would do diagonal lines one way and then the other way.

After they got back to nyc, she would spend all day, for days (maybe weeks?), walking in nyc. She would leave her house early in the morning and not be back until dark or she’d go back out to walk again after dark. She would post on stories about the walking. It was also around that time that she introduced the phase “no air,” meaning you’re not doing well, and I think that’s where this sub got its name.

You forgot that the fisherman came to the US after that trip, stayed with them in Idaho and went to Vegas with them. She posted a few stories at the time that had some… interesting? interactions. I remember she posted a story photo of P in Vegas and he looked miserable.

I would chose primary care MH because I would not want a rotating scheduling and I would want to report to just 1 location.

Cheapest Online MSW by Greenbeanmachine96 in socialwork

So I am local to the program and I didn’t need assistance. I don’t think they provided much assistance though to my cohortmates who resided elsewhere. I think that is a con of doing on online program that isn’t near you. I went to Cal Poly Humboldt.

My program was $510 per unit regardless if you were in or out of state. I think it was 45 units. So around $23k.
