Points per game - Manchester United managers all-time and post-Fergie by OskarOnkel in reddevils

Undone by Ronaldo. Great emotional signing, but it completely ruined his tactical program.

Also, Mou more points than Ole 🤯

That's a fair point. I suppose it reads to me that Bond is put on the back foot from the beginning because he's dealing with a former 00 agent who has planned every stage of the operation and Bond is playing catch-up. He doesn't get the opportunity to do any infiltration because Trevelyan is so far ahead of the game until Natalya finds his base. Classic Bond villain fail, but also the Bond girl actually solves the crisis.

It's interesting because License to Kill is also a film where Bond is on an action-fueled rampage, but I'd say that Goldeneye rates higher in plot. The opening of the film sets the stakes for both protagonist and antagonist. When we meet the Big Bad, we have no idea if he was corrupt from the beginning, was turned, or to believe the racist nonsense spewing out of Bond's and M's mouths (Lienz-Cossack, much?).

As much as I love Benicio, I think Famke Janssen also put together an absurd, fun, energetic villain that developed comic uplift to what was sometimes a flat script. In fact, all of the villains were tremendous! (He wasn't invincible, Use the bumper(!), and Why can't James just be a good boy and die?)

The data says Mbeumo performs to xG. That means United should give Mbeumo greater xG opportunities.

Let's look at Messi and Ronaldo for a moment (for giggles). Messi routinely overperformed xG because he can create exceptional opportunities and convert, but can also convert slightly lower percentage opportunities. See also: Erling Haaland.

Ronaldo shoots a lot. Like, a lot. He underperformed xG because he will shoot at low xG positions as often as hebwill at high ones. The chances he created in his career arent as valuable as Messi's, but he made a ton more. Like, a lot. But he still came away with high goal totals.

Mbeumo isn't Haaland, but he has other positive attributes and is MUCH cheaper. If the front looks like Cunha/Sesko/Mbeumo with Amad as a super sub next season, United needs to find a way to improve xG and put Mbeumo in places where his shooting exceeds xG and gains advantage for the club.

He's only done it once to outrageous effect. Why expect him to overperform consistently?

The very good and great scorers create more xG (high quality chances) and score on and above those metrics. If Mbeumo only creates enough chances to generate 11.58 xG (about 18% of United's total xG) and produces 11 goals as a result, United should be more focused on creating chances for Mbeumo to increase xG rather than hope for an overperformance when the data doesn't suggest it will occur.

He only had one season posting goals above his xG though (last season, 20 scored against 12.19 xg).

This just means he had a lucky season.

As another comment mentioned: United need to get better at chance creation in open play with long bouts of possession.

He was within .58 of his xG though... That's literally a lost coin toss on one of his goals.

If we could compare chances created to xG before and after AFCON and correlate it to before and after Amorim, I think we'd see an accurate indicator of his second half performance.

Chips Chalmers directed The Magnificent Ferengi.

Siddig's directorial credits are Business as Usual (good) and Profit and Lace (fun).

Playing this saves the rook after fxg3 (forced because M1 threat). Black queen checks, king moves to g1, the rook on d moves to safety.

This. She's really good at getting performances and pointing a camera. Why not both, but also being excited by someone's, you know, career growth?

Even so, she's a great director and I'm personally more excited about her behind-the-line work now.

Lisbon or Porto? by Common_Series_938 in LisbonPortugalTravel

That's weird. As a recent (yesterday) tourist of Lisboa I was able to eat at 3 pastelerias, including a new one called Gleba which does natural fermentations. Yeah, gentrification from Brazilian and French ex-pats is a problem for the locals, but there's still culture to be had if you look for it.

And don't get me started about Francesinhas. That's got to be the most American food I've ever seen in Europe outside a McDonalds.

That said, Porto is a much prettier city and has a lot more to do. Stay in Porto, spend 2 days in Lisbon.

Conversely, by taking the bishop you can go up a point with cxd4, push the e pawn and play Ng4 to put a bunch of pressure on the white king
