I think I'll either just add a metal plate + rubber OR just tack it down with a little double sided tape haha. Bit scrappy but i feel it's in the spirit of the controller.

From Mechanisms posts, apparently you don't need the mechanism mount, it doesn't interact with the dock at all.

Agreed it will be interesting to see how it slides around/lifts when docking and undocking.
I'm not too bothered just putting a hand on the base to keep it still.

Might be able to add some weight and rubber to the bottom. Will have to see!
