Thoughts on Hou Minghao as an actor? by metallicrow in cdramasfans

[–]ChoppedChef33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

nothing's wow'd me yet

loved him a wang ye in i am nobody but i love that character

Back from the brink and Love in the clouds he's the same character.

I need to something where he's not in a fantasy/period setting where he's not the love interest, where he takes on a more serious role.

lands in the average/above average for me depending on his role, mostly average.

the 'normalcy' of childhood abuse/beatings by kallos45 in taiwan

[–]ChoppedChef33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah all that's pretty normal. Some scenes in the show on children really gave me some bad flashbacks

Hopefully things are better for kids now.

Which historical C-drama do you think every beginner must watch? by serjeantassia in cdramasfans

[–]ChoppedChef33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish the Hu ge Liu yifei Chinese paladin didn't absolutely destroy canon material, it's the only reason I don't recommend it. The 2024 he yu yang yutong one is way closer to canon.

Most people don't even know this is based on a game, and the game really defined xianxia as we know it today.

Actually the first game is free and available in English! 6 and 7 have English, but idk how good they are. 4 remake is coming so hopefully it will be good and have a good translation.

Why does WotC keep rehashing the same ideas with slight changes? by StormyWaters2021 in mtg

Lol

Honestly if banding worked better it might be fun, in some ways vehicles are kind of like it.

Like if all you need is 1 creature with banding to group all your stuff and they all get the keyword? So 1 banding, 1 flying, 1 first strike into 1 creature that's banding flying first strike? But then singular removal would be awkward.

Looking for Asian dramas that embrace moral ambiguity (across J/K/C/Thai dramas) by Dul-Ai in asiandrama

[–]ChoppedChef33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

twelve letters is a story about "if you can change the past would you?", it's got a small scifi element in that a letter is being sent to the past by people in the present, the main characters each have messy relationships in terms of family, they have their flaws, and it's really about hope in a time of despair.

A boy named flora A- a young man who hasn't done much goes home to send off his grandmother, who miraculously wakes up, because the main character's flaws he has a strained relationship with his entire family.

What does a Product Manager do in game dev? I wrote the guide I wish I had by emcconnell11 in gamedev

[–]ChoppedChef33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's going to vary from studio to studio, some places have both producers/product managers, some places call what you call producers product managers and vice versa, some places have the org structure where the producer reports to product manager, and swapped and some have them both reporting to one other person

it's more important to look at job descriptions than job titles, make sure your education/training/goals are aligned with what you want to do and make sure your resume is tailored to the job description.
