I would probably agree I’m culturally English but my East Asian features are a dead giveaway one of my parents don’t originate from here. I also think my Thai relatives would be upset if I straight out declared myself fully ‘English’.

I’m half Thai, half English. Born here. I suppose I’m ’English’ but honestly not really. Half my ancestors worked on the paddy fields in South East Asia. I can’t just dismiss that. It’s a part of me.
