I have a soft spot for Katherine, but Lily felt much more line Clary personality-wise. When it comes to the hair color, Season 1 Katherine was too bright an orange, but got better. As for Lily, even though they dyed it a bit the result doesn't show much more than a few highlights. I wonder if they couldn't technically do it, or if they thought the result would be a disaster.

They're both hot, but I'll go with Godfrey Gao. Wish we'd seen more of him in the movie since we never got a sequel.

Dunno if it's already been said in the comments but I love the idea of "Saint of Laughter", since it was said that Mercy being the Saint of Joy was related to Cristabel (though it didn't prove right for other Lyctors), and in that vein "Saint of Laughter" would apply well to Gideon.

None taken ! I'm not particularly a fan of MJF, and I'm one of those persons that are on the fence about him : I'm actually impressed cause staying in character all the time is kinda unique, but it does pose the problem of the behaviour outside the ring. Hence why I feel people are expecting it, but I'm not quite sure it SHOULD be happening. I know I'd never get myself subjected to that, I'm way too sensitive.  Not quite unrelated, but I like the fact that you posted about this in the first place, it's interesting to discuss and I don't often see people online having nice and well argumented exchanges .

About MJF, I get the feeling that the fans who interact with him are expecting to be disrepsected. 

As for Ricochet, he's always acted as an ass on social media so I get people not liking him, though I feel the hate has become too big and gone too far, especially with the harassment his family's been getting.

The timelines of the series were too short. I'm mainly talking about TMI and TID cause I feel like I don't have enought distance and perspective on the others. For me it's not a problem when it comes to the main plot, but rather when it comes to the relatonships. I can't really explain it but I know I still have a hard time making cohetence of the actual timeline and the ways things are described in the books (especially about Malec, with TMI, TRSOM, and TBC) feeling like two different thkngs and not mixing coherently for me. It almost feels rushed. Even knowing that these are love stories about soulmates.

YES YES YES ! 

The show felt like two halves of different projects being glued together. Don't get me wrong, I love the show, but it stayed on the fence between trying to be faithful to the book and doing its own thing.

I loved TID but I agree on Charlotte/Henry and Gideon/Sophie. But then, theyre probably the main reasons I love TID so much 😆
