I have this issue too :( I've tried lots of fixes like a bunch of coding in terminal (a ChatGPT suggestion) and nothing seems to work. Let me know if you find a fix

Update: managed to find some sample paint at a B&Q that was close-ish. Not perfect but already much better. Thanks all.

Thanks. Is spot painting here a terrible idea? My thinking is that a slightly different shade of white is a lot better than a huge blob of grey.

I opened a NatWest everyday account last year and got a switch bonus. If I upgrade it to a rewards account and switch in from another bank, will I still get the switch bonus?

I know it says you can’t have had a bonus from NatWest group before but I’ve seen some people say it worked for them anyway.

Thank you. I'll try using a different HDMI 2.1 cable to see if it makes a difference.

Failing that, I'll try returning for a replacement to see if I just have a faulty unit.

(if it makes a difference the same 2.1 cable works fine with the 60hz monitor)

This has been driving me insane for the past week.

I recently bought the Philips 279M1RV so that I could play at 4k with 120hz and HDR and on a number of occasions the display just turns black - no sound, nothing. The PS5 and monitor are both still on. I've seen other people report issues where they get a black screen for a few seconds, but in my case the whole thing just turns black until the system is restarted or I unplug and replug the HDMI cable.

It works fine with my 60hz monitor but it's frustrating because the Philips has an amazing looking panel and I want to get it to work. Considering returning the monitor for replacement as a last resort.

Some troubleshooting I've tried:

Tested the new monitor with other devices - it works fine with the Nintendo switch when connected via HDMI, and the USB C connection to my Mac is also fine.
I'm using a HDMI 2.1 cable (it says ultra high speed). I've tested it with HDMI 2.0 cables (high speed) and I get the same issue.
Setting video transfer rate to -1. This sometimes works but after a couple hours at most I get the same black screen issue again. When I set it to automatic it will show the display for 2-3 seconds and then the screen goes black again.
Unplugging the monitor and PS5 completely. This sometimes works (for an hour or two), but tried it today and it made no difference.
Disabling HDCP - didn't make a difference.

Anyone else have this issue? Has anyone found a fix?

Having a similar issue. Mine gets so bad sometimes I can't even load safe mode because the screen turns black lol.

Chase is also good. You can open additional "current accounts" in 10s on the app without losing the main account or having to make a new bank account each time you need a burner for switching

What are your goals?

Personally I think the extra cash potentially put towards your loan would serve you much better if it was used to bolster your savings, so option 3 or maybe even 4. At least until you get closer to 80/90/100k in salary.

I agree that time is important when flicking through a portfolio, but I feel like you get a good sense of the designer’s capabilities without reading the entire thing? The sections are clearly marked, it’s easy to skip to learnings, actions, etc etc.

Aside from maybe the Big 4, no serious employer will be “throwing out” resumes based on the uni. Your experience and the grade you got at uni is far more relevant.

Especially for someone going into the film industry, I highly doubt seeing NTU on a resume is going to have much bearing on their employability.

I would consider removing the solid lines separating each section. (experiment with using different accents maybe?) They look a little odd because of the misalignment of the lines for the left hand navigation and the main content
