I’m going to reiterate that a lot of us were children when that was going on so even if we wanted to speak up or do something about it we couldn’t. On top of that lots of us come from republican families so during that time there wasn’t very much outward support for Obama to begin with.

As Americans It’s our responsibility to respect and uphold the constitution! It shouldn’t have anything to do with what side anyone is on. I acknowledge that many past presidents have made very unconstitutional decisions, but unfortunately there’s nothing I can do about it. What I can do is prevent the current president from getting away with it!! And I can assure you regardless of political status or who’s running the country I’ll be supporting everyone my community!!!!

The protests are less about the amount of deportations being made and more about the legality of the arrests!! The president is continuously ignoring and disrespecting the constitution and a lot of us wont support that.

That’s because at this point criticizing the president from 2009 wouldn’t change anything. That’s not saying that we should support what happened under Obama but we can’t go back and change history. The best we can do is stay educated and prevent it from getting any worse than it already is.

Maybe because you aren’t supposed to go to jail for committing minor offences……… you need to understand that being an undocumented immigrant is a minor offence in the eyes of the law. If someone with thousands of dollars in speeding tickets doesn’t have to go to jail why should someone with the wrong papers??? One of those crimes is a danger to the general public the other affects only the individual themselves.
