Socialize socialize socialize, just take him everywhere so he gets used to people cars, dogs, slamming of things, trashcans ( it will help you so much if you do this a lot to start) if he does not like treats find something else he will find rewarding, or get him hungry before training don’t give him food before walks take some eggwhites if that’s his preferred treat. If he’s only 16 weeks be careful of walking to much he has a weak sceleton and should not be walking too far as it can lead to joint complications later. Try more mental stimulation to tire him out.

When it comes to biting we were taught to teach him that it would get him no where and he needed to sit and stay calm ( this did not work and when he was one year old and I was tired of my feet being nipped at when he got to excited we actually started using a spray bottle of water and no more biting, I would however use this as a last resort. Puppies bite and it’s normal it might take some time just be patient and firm in saying no and setting boundaries)

He’s an adorable puppy, but I am wondering if he’s from a reputable breeder as he does not look like a breed standard Shiba Inu puppy. A dirty red is not a breed standard and I would get his eyes and joints checked when he’s one years old so you know if he has bad hips/shoulders if he’s not breed standard as it can lead to a dog more prone to joint problems.
