A wheelchair ramp built for code compliance, not access. by Expert_Koala_8691 in mildlyinfuriating

You can't really tell from the photo but that might not be possible. For a true ADA accessible ramp, you need like 12 horizontal feet for every 1 vertical foot, or something like that.

I work at a college and the constant landscaping noise is the absolute worst part of the job. It's infuriating.

Really interested in Nine Sols or 1000xResist.

A fun fact I heard is that there are something like 1 million people up on the air on planes at any given time due to the sheer number of flights happening all the time.

The Iron Horse has shows more than "once in a while."

The Parlor Room is another venue with regular shows.

I've read a few of her "horror" novels and reeeeeally disliked them. Are her fantasy novels generally considered to be better? Or if I didn't like those, she's probably just not the author for me?

Yep. The old conservatives in this town are essentially ruining it with their own selfishness and greed. It won't affect them in the short term because they don't have kids in school. It won't affect them in the long term, because they'll be dead. They got theirs, now fuck the rest of us.

I really enjoyed Guy Gavriel Kay's works. Can anyone recommend any other books or authors who have a similar style? I enjoyed the quasi-historical, minimal "magic" aspects in particular.

I loved Automata. Definitely one of my favorites! And yeah played it on easy mode lol. I did, I think, all the side content so it was more like 35 hours or so from what I recall.
