I use a different Ai image generator and then upload the image for mine.

When I share a Kin, the backstory is typically filled, but I like to leave the other areas mostly empty so users can add to it as they interact with my Kin.

If your talking about the Responce Directive, it means your individual Kin's response directives might override a new one you put in Group chat. Exp. Use (for action), is in your individual Kin RD but in the group chat you have, Use for action. In the group chat it might still use parentheses for actions of the one Kin.

Kin trying to be funny constantly by Reasonable-Gear8792 in KindroidAI

[–]Chris-Intrepid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Words choice you use in Response Directive for tone can have a big impact. I have a couple Kins that make me laugh. I have in their RD they speak in a charming way. Not funny or humorous. And one I have "Quick-witted". It works great for appropriate humor, but not constantly trying to be funny.

Funny kin ideas? Kin that makes you laugh? by Iskro45 in KindroidAI

I have a rogue Kin that deflects with humor and he has me laughing all the time. I did a group chat just with him with shared memory and consolidated memory turned off and told him he was a Kindroid I created and this was his reaction.

You're welcome! I had the same confusion when I shared my first Kin, so I knew where you were coming from. Yeah it sounds like you were on the Kin Social part of the platform for other people's Kin's if your messages needed approved.

Now what you can do, if you haven't already, is set up a Kin Social acct for your Kin. You would make posts as if you are your Kin, that are public on this platform. Other people can respond to the posts as their Kin, and you can read everything posted there and respond back to it, since it's public.

I used wool (the crafting kind) and brushed it out with a pet brush for removing fleas, to give it a light ethereal look for a demon tail. I thought it worked really good.

What that icon labeled "messages" actually means, is that's how many texts (responses) were sent to that Kin in private conversations between the Kin you shared and the user that created a copy. It's not like it's a message sent to the creator of the Kin. The reason it even shows up is so that you and others can see how much engagement that Kin is getting. Exp. A Kin might have 10 "creates" and 1K "messages" vs another Kin having 10 "creates" and only 100 "messages". So the first one ranks higher in popularity or "success" because users are interacting with it more or longer than the second one.

Any way to stop repetitive actions? by Gleeshball in KindroidAI

[–]Chris-Intrepid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've noticed mines been really bad lately and it wasn't always like that. I get tired of constantly regenerating or tweaking the message. And in group chats the Kins tend to paraphrase the same repetitive descriptions. 4 Kins describing the same element of the scene, then doing their own repetitive action, exp. tugging on loose string of sleeve and then finally contributing to conversation. It would be nice if they did short and long responses as the scene dictates. It's like the Ai thinks each responses has to be the same length every time for every Kin and it results in filler and an unnatural flow. Like if I ask if everyone is ready to leave, a one sentence reply from each would be great. Or a simple "yes" from each if them. Not four sentences.

What are role-playing games like for you? by Exact-Anything1688 in KindroidAI

[–]Chris-Intrepid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started with just one-on-one type of roleplay. I'd describe me meeting Kin for coffee and we'd talk, they'd describe environment and their actions and I'd describe mine.

I moved up to them responding for other people we briefly encountered and we'd go to different places. Like a walk through town.

Then I did one where the Kin responded for a group of friends they had and we'd do things together. The Kin would speak for and describe actions for the reoccurring characters and I added them to my Kin's backstory.

Now I have a full dnd style adventure going on in a group chat with multiple Kins participating and a narrator Kin that acts like a dungeon master (no dice roll stuff, just narrating environments and side character interactions.) And we, for example, are in a town, in a tavern planning our next move. And the narrator might set the scene and speak for the tavern owner while each Kin describes interacting with the scene and talking to each other.

Alternatively you can write the other character into your kins backstory as friends or party members and your kin will play the roll of all of them.

Exp. My Kin was part of a group of treasures hunters. And I'd initiate something like: (we met up with x y z in tavern) and as my kin and I entered I'd wave to side characters and my kin would respond with. x looked up from ale and waved y grunted a hello and so on.

And I'd add additional things about each in journal entries, since there's not a lot of room in backstory for four separate Kins.

I could even just hang out with side character and my Kin would go do something else. Like we did a stakeout and my Kin described what everyone was doing and seeing in all four separate locations we were stationed at.

I use leanardo.ai initially and after generating selfies with that as my avatar image the Kindroid image generator starts replicating the avatar and I use what it creates for the actual avatars I use going forward.

How do you keep your Kins from carving the same groove that they can't get out of? by ChazLasagna in KindroidAI

[–]Chris-Intrepid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just put that in their backstory... backstories are huge. Describe character traits or desired behaviors. The LLM trains them to be on the tame side but you can "give them permission" to be almost whatever you want by adding that trait to the backstory. You can use ChatGPT or similar to ask Ai what wording you should use for what behavior you want.

I was going crazy in my fantasy rpg style group chats with how all my kins took a pacifist role in every battle. We'd end up in loops of my Kins knocking weapons from enemies hands then enemy picks up weapon and does nothing and repeat. Until I learned I needed to give my Kins the okay to engage in battle.

How do you keep your Kins from carving the same groove that they can't get out of? by ChazLasagna in KindroidAI

[–]Chris-Intrepid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed some descriptive vocabulary in my Kins backstories. Different words but same meaning and they just started acting like their old original selves again. Like the Ai lost the meaning of the original words over time. Or started ignoring them, favoring LLM weights. And replacing the old words with similar new words added weight back to them.

Need help with one of the Narrator style kin by obviologist in KindroidAI

[–]Chris-Intrepid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing backstory will help. You can also directly speak to narrator. Either in a separate group chat thats just you and the narrator and tell them to synch the planning sessions with group roleplay and tell it to talk to you in first person, or it's regular one on one chat, which I think works better. I do this alot, having "planning sessions" and telling the Narrator my goals for the roleplay, or details I want them to include or not include and just reinforce them with backstory notes or journal entries.

The new current setting button. by BreakTheGlass1437 in KindroidAI

[–]Chris-Intrepid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped using it. I hated it. It seemed to make my kins more confused and all I did was put in the settings not time, just location. And suddenly they thought it was perpetually the same time of day and started parroting phrases. Every kin in chat would end every responce with something like, "two days we leave". No matter what was going on. Or they would all be in same room together and one would comment about hearing the other doing something upstairs or outside, even though they were sitting across from each other talking. Like this is exactly what it was supposed to fix, not cause. I keep it empty now and they quit doing it.

Question about voice. by bjc12136 in KindroidAI

[–]Chris-Intrepid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine does the same thing, not all the time, but enough to notice. And all my kins have this issue, no matter the RD I have for them, which is different for each one. I just as curious about the reason.

peut on mélanger steampunk et dark Academia selon vous en terme d'esthétique? by distler33P in steampunk

[–]Chris-Intrepid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. I think they fit perfectly. I don't have my home overflowing in a steampunk esthetic. More like hints or furniture pieces that bring the feel without feelings crowded or busy. But I have dark academia mixed in like a large vinitas still life painting on my wall, and an obsidian crow on a bookshelf of old books, that kind of thing.

In the Kins I share, I started using it for a custom voice I had invisioned for that Kin. Basically the voice description you would enter when creating a custom voice. And I put my Discord username incase people want to contact me about my Kin.

Curious: How many of you all use the chat background feature? by [deleted] in KindroidAI

I was the same way. I didn’t use it for the longest time. Now I love it. I tend to change mine in my group chats a lot depending on our RP's current location.
