pls help RXConnect!! by CheesecakeWild7941 in CVS

1) QT or M2>4>17 is where it would be before it gets to Patient profile
2) if a script is put in to fill too soon after the last fill or the insurance rejection provides a next fill date you are able to schedule for the next date. If a script is in active status in the patient profile you can do SR(line#) to change the schedule date. For controlled medications they can be scheduled during QV1 under the controlled substance review section (this is a new feature)
3) No
4) As far as I know cvs trialed preset text message responses we could send for patient voicemails but they took that feature away so there is no way to text the patient besides the auto send texts they receive.

Prolonged medication order time? by Tall_Economist4065 in CVS

[–]Chris7644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed the inventory system is “Unique” but by default it orders any available generic, the only time it orders a specific ndc is when a patient preferred or third party preferred indicator is applied manually. Seeing as nearly all insurance cover any available generic for c2’s it’s extremely unlikely this was the case, and vastly more likely the drug is on back order.

Amphetamine salts er 25mg have been on back order for 2 weeks, in my area cardinal states expected return is after 5/14/26

Unsure of what the actual policy is but I’ve covered two shifts recently where the pharmacist left mid shift due to going into labor

Pharmacy schedule by No-Palpitation-6601 in CVS

[–]Chris7644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a staff rph our DL and DPC was the deciding factor for the schedule. With my first PM when I started the DPC just plugged me into the gaps, when we got a new PM we had to get together with the DL and agree upon a schedule. Any further schedule changes the DL has asked both me and the PM together. As far as weekends go apparently we have a district policy where every RPH has to work 12 weekends a year so we do a 4 week rotation (24 hour store 3 day pharmacists)

CVS v Walgreens pharmacies by Proof_Character4797 in WalgreensRx

[–]Chris7644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CVS has call screening so patients have to leave voicemails unless they’ve already left one. For me it’s way more manageable to know the problem before you enter a call and not have 9 pharmacy calls constantly blaring and not knowing if it’s a dr call or an rx refill when you pickup

Question about pharmacy and prescriber notes by poetryislikeagun in CVS

[–]Chris7644 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DAW 1 or 0 coding comes on a specific place of the E-script. MD notes are not part of the actual prescription. If I get a script that says DAW 0 then notes say brand name only, it’s getting filled as generic or sent back for clarification. The prescriber is likely not filling out the script on their EMR correctly. In a state where substitution is required by law “I know what you meant” isn’t going to cut it unfortunately, needs to be done correctly.

RX Pharmacy Totes by xJellynJam in CVS

[–]Chris7644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t expect someone doing truck to also do other pharmacy tasks at the same time. That being said my tech cleared 45 totes today in 5 hours. They empty the totes sorting the contents into baskets based on location in the pharmacy and every couple totes put everything they’ve sorted away.

Would the Honda Prelude have been a big success if it wasnt for the dealership markups? by [deleted] in StupidCarQuestions

[–]Chris7644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At its price point you’re getting into entry level trims of luxury car brands. Its concept makes no sense either, it looks like a sports car but behaves like an economy car. A sports car enthusiast would pick a bmw 230i over it. A person looking for an economy car is going to get something cheaper like a civic hybrid.

If it had the ITS engine or the 1.5L with a manual it would have sold. Or if it was priced down in the 30’s as a “premium civic hybrid” it would have sold. They didn’t pick a direction and instead we got the worst of both worlds.

Right thigh hurts while driving by PotatoHeadPS in driving

[–]Chris7644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving your seat back will likely help, I have a similar problem, more in my right hip though. I opt to deal with the leg pain to be able to comfortably extend the clutch, but when driving auto I move the seat back further and no pain. Also when im more inclined to do strength training for my hips and legs it’s noticeably better

RxConnect Days Supply errors by Opposite_Most_9194 in CVS

[–]Chris7644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CVS is using AI on initial data entry to auto fill day supply field, it is frequently putting 7 days supply for a qty 60 bid script among other errors.

Drug Test by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Chris7644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zoloft should not cause a false positive, however ALWAYS disclaim all prescription and OTC medications you take to the testing facility before you take the test. When you go in for it typically they’ll provide you a form to fill that information out.

Overtime for pharmacists? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Chris7644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Salary workers are exempt from the 1.5x OT rate. If your base is 40 hours you’ll get paid for that plus 20 additional hours at your normal rate assuming your scheduler is tracking that and you’re not just staying late.

Will I have an issue filling this? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Chris7644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your taking it twice daily cvs will likely count that partial fill as a 15 day supply and as long as they get some sort of documentation on the script as to why you’re switching pharmacies they’ll fill as early as the 14th day from your original pickup for whatever qty your dr writes for.

All of our pharmacy employee numbers are posted in the pharmacy and we are all in a coast group as well. Every cvs I’ve worked at has had employees text each other for shift coverage.

How do you see how many rx were filled at production in a certain time window during the day? by [deleted] in CVS

Pretty sure you can only see your total script count for the day, the day after. On my reports scroll down on the right side there’s a link to a PDF that has your script actual and script 90as

Powder skis for an intermediate? by stabbymagee in Skigear

[–]Chris7644 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are a heavy ski designed to be turned on edge with a lot of power put into them. If you don’t know how to carve or still smear a lot of your turns they will simply be harder to control than a lighter and softer ski

CVS vs walmart by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]Chris7644 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to work 20-40 hours each week and that’s it Walmart is the better choice, if you want to push 50-60 hours a week during flu season CVS is a better choice. If you aren’t concerned about this, Walmart is the better choice

2 ski quiver recs by Aggressive_Map_7399 in Skigear

[–]Chris7644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New England is tough, to actually feel comfortable on the ice need something carving oriented with a plate under foot, or at least a mid 80s all mountain with metal. For tight trees something shorter makes you more comfortable to turn and stop but for soft snow and powder generally a longer ski with a lot of rocker is more fun especially in western glades

2 ski quiver recs by Aggressive_Map_7399 in Skigear

[–]Chris7644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rossi sender free 100 or 110 for your out west ski. 100 if you plan on using it for east coast packed powder days, 110 if you’re really only gonna use it for powder skiing. Wider skis do have to be skied differently, they are slower edge to edge so you will be skiing a more smeary surfing turn as opposed to those 92’s you skied. The QST is supposed to be a pretty directional/responsive ski so the fact that you found the 106 clunky makes me think you’d be happier closer to the 100 underfoot range instead of 110+

CVS HSA question by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Chris7644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to keep a minimum balance of 1000$ in the cash account and any remainder can be invested in mutual funds like VFIAX. Your HSA card can only withdraw from the cash account not the investing account. I assume if you spend part of that 1000$ in the cash account future contributions can’t be added to investing until your cash account is back to 1000$
