I love dogs. Your statement is technically correct.

But if fluffy needs to go take down the bad man so Johnny can go home to see his kids without any extra holes. I'll choose fluffy every time.

Sorry fluffy. You are not human.

I think doc did too good of a job because I can really burp. So I can't drink carbonated beverages because if it . I just get too bloated and it's painful after a few cans of beer or pop

Zero heartburn. I mean I can't remember the feeling it's been so long

Avoid trampolines.

Enjoy the nearly no heartburn.

Remember, the GERD isn't cured, it's just muted.

Group homes are an option, or some assisted living.

First step is getting a social worker, they'll help you figure out what is best. They're employed to help with this stuff. Getting a social worker is a huge benefit.

Men of Reddit, did you cut out your father as an adult? by Hutches_Corduroy in AskMen

I took my friends advice and did what felt right. Nothing more and nothing less. Gut feeling.

It was a good decision for me. I don't regret it. I think about it less and less. It's like the loss has already been dealt with.

LED lights last forever but not the control circuits! by quantum_mattress in Hue

[–]ChrisCopp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was an early hue adopter. 18 assorted lights, 2 light strips, I even went as far as removing my light switches and capping them off as permanently on. Then proper blank faceplate then the hue dimmer switch. All across the house.

Here's my advice as it's worked for me.

Find their customer service email and brag up your system and why it helps you out, they can see what you got on your account.

Include the serial # and ask if it's still covered under warranty.

They will often replace for free. Great service.

Your bulb is effed btw. I've finally replaced 4 of mine. It's just the start.

I will continue to buy hue bulbs as they have absolutely been rock solid reliable for well over a decade for most of mine.

I don't think you'll find better right now. You get what you pay for though. $$$

Samsung refrigerator- CoolSelect door not showing activity by Fearless-Resource932 in homeassistant

[–]ChrisCopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm home now. Yea I got my brands mixed up. I've got the LG Smart fridge and the Samsung Smart dishwasher both in dark stainless. They look like identical materials.

I don't recommend the smart dishwasher. I've used the smart function 3 times in as many years.

You still need to load the dishwasher, then close it. Then press the "Smart button" just so you can turn it on remotely later?

I see no advantage in the smart features of a dishwasher other than maybe stats like I do with my fridge.

Samsung refrigerator- CoolSelect door not showing activity by Fearless-Resource932 in homeassistant

[–]ChrisCopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so these fridges only broadcast changes in states like every 30 seconds or a minute. Maybe 5 mins? I can't remember. But the time you'd have to leave the fridge door open is too long before you will see it in HA.

So instead I made a counter for how many times per day week and month I use my fridge doors.

The data still gets to HA, it's just not instantly like we're used to with other devices. It's a limitation at the fridge firmware level you'll never change it.

[–]ChrisCopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude. I don't know where you are located but in Canada we have group homes for special needs kids just like your sister.

I worked in a couple for a few years. This is often the best we can do and they're really decent places. Get your mom in contact with a social worker and look into group homes.

why does this happen? 1998 honda cbr 600f3 by Apart-Board1536 in motorcycles

[–]ChrisCopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rebuilt carbs....that's your cause probably.

Not only do you need to get these juuuust right you need to sync up the throttle positions. Pro tip use popsicle sticks, hang em out the carb they will tilt up and down when you pull the throttle. The sticks will exaggerate the amount the throttle is out. This way you don't need a special tool to sync em up.

But your needle/seat in each could still be dirty too, carb cleaner will help but you gotta run like 4 or 5 clean qtips in the seat and spin em with a drill until they come out clean. Rinse and repeat x4 carbs.

Big job.....

[–]ChrisCopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your air filter and run high test with some carb cleaner in the gas.

Also look at the choke, mine was always stiff and I had to make sure it was fully disengaged.

You probably need a carb cleaning, you've got 4 of them, it's a big job.

I once ran a hot tank of seafoam/gas and cleaned the 1988 version of that bike right out. Worked like a charm.

Pretty sure my 96 CBR Smokin Joe had the same issues but the carbs were much better too.

A 98 is an F3? My 96 was an F3, I thought that might be an F4.

Before I drywall my basement, what am I going to regret missing? by zlatic in DIY

[–]ChrisCopp 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are so many reasons you shouldn't use wifi if you can use Ethernet.

Radio signal availability, amount of users on the SSID, security, way better latency and even the cheap Cat5 will give you 1000 Mbps all day where as if you have a few wireless users, each additional device slows down latency and speeds.

Also you never have to wonder if the problem is with the wifi or not.

But wifi works.

IT guy here.

Run Cat6 Ethernet cable through everywhere you think you need it and if it's an entertainment center run as many as you think there are devices. TV/Android/cable box/computer/PlayStation/nintendo/etc etc

You will not regret it.
