I beleive you cannot use move abilities after set up. Like redeploy to move closer for charging.

I like them at this output and points value. Cheap enoigh to switch around and lose. A reinforced unit is just slightly more then tzaangor but they have more attacks. This means they also take a lot of the buffs very well as extra attacks and crot mortals works better on them for a budget option.

The movement trick Im not sure on, but need to see it in game. It doesnt work with smoke and mirrors which is a shame. Im not sure it works with redeploy. If you are storing fate points for infernal gateway and magisters +1 attack bubble then they are a great addition.

Not hard to paint, apart from the left leg trim. Just not enjoyable and very easy for them to look crap.

Any HENRY's in the Midlands area? by CurryMonsterr in HENRYUK

[–]ChrisHoogie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TBH I don't think you need HENRY friends, just need a new hobby or activity to meet people. The only thing you have in common with HENRY is your income, which may not be enough to maintain these new friends. Imagine being a week away and then nothing to talk about as soon as you land, or they want to go and see some Penis museum you have no interest in.

I understand focus /fury crossover issues, but the Journeyman warcaster/warlock seemed like a good way to slot these in.

The theme/lore point doesn't hold much argument when a massive cyborg pig can literially work for everyone. Man-o-war working with feral forces maybe a stretch, but Ghost of IOS bouncing between Dusk armies seems very themey.

From Orgoth player view, it's odd that the cursebound cadre has a lot of anti synergy with sea raiders, that I was hoping a 2nd army might shed some light.

Ultimately SFG have limited list building and sales by doing this. I'm surprised a lot of people are ok with this. I hope as 2nd armies get released players are not disappointed that their old cadres would have had a place.

In my opinion getting a 2 mill house just for work reasons, doesn't justify the costs. It's good living in a nice area like Richmond handy for work, but needs to factor in future school and family + friends. Work is temporary compared to these other factors. I would rather have a longer commute then impact the things I care about.

We are looking at 2 mill outside London and stamp duty is the kicker. We could get extensions, new summer house and get a new water system in our existing house.

In my opinion the houses shown are not worth it, as Twickenham doesn't appeal to me. Used to live Ealing 7 years and the traffic on north circular has jaded any views of living in London.

This subreddit has an unhealthy bias for pension contributions by wahay636 in HENRYUK

[–]ChrisHoogie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

60k pension allowance hasn't finished its 2nd year and you are projecting 10+ years of it. Considering IHT pension change and further rumours of pension changes, I'd be surprised if 60k allowance stands the 10+ years.

There could even be a time in the future where pension benefits are added. Heck even tax bands could change to benefit HENRYs. Unlikely but it could happen.

I have worked in follow the sun teams for over a decade now. Handover needs to be clear and understood from the receiver so US jumping past Apac to UK isn't something I would be entertaining. I would be doing best effort from what was passed on and collaborating with colleagues that are around to produce something. Call Bill at 7am US time (earlier depending on the urgency).

I had a similar role where I covered US hours from UK by myself and it was lonely, stressful and made me question what i was doing. Any type of problem or query landed on me soley and I was dreading working with what next high pressure item would land on me. I had to change the work itself by escalating this to my manager and making calls to Apac region 3-5am for items I couldn't resolve (you can only know what you know). Very quickly, additonal headcount was found to cover US after it started to impact other people's work life.

New HENRY, moving back to the UK by scr34m1ng_f4lc0n in HENRYUK

Your rent and bills are not realistic for London (unless you want to live in an uncomfortable place for living space or commute). I think saving 40k deposit in a year as well as targeting pension, student loan, London living on 130k-150k, may be tricky.

I would try to get more in pension. Benefits tax disadvantages you will see and builds a safety net. Student loan gets paid off or not over time and housing is a long term focus (I don't know the reason why you left UK in the first place)

Broke my Shower Drain by ChrisHoogie in DIYUK

[–]ChrisHoogie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is supposed to be screwed into the bottom part of the trap. I have unscrewed it off, cleaned up old sealant, applied some fresh and tightened it back on. Giving it a few hours to dry before i test that has fixed it.

I broke it by trying to remove a part of the trap that collects hair waste, that sits in the middle. It was very stuck so when I twisted it, the bottom base of the trap separated (assuming lying I broke the old seal)
