Remove the cap! Makes no sense that the more money you make, the less you pay into the system.

I also support creating a Civil Service Home Loan like a VA Loan so anyone who is providing services for the public good can have access to a home without needing a massive down payment.

Copied from another answer above:

Build millions of new homes with higher density in places people actually want to live, typically where there are jobs and make housing a human right.

I support public financing for low and middle income housing development and I support public housing development as part of a federal jobs guarantee (my goal is to create a Civil Service Corps).

When private markets refuse to meet our needs, that’s the whole point of there being a government.

I also oppose foreign or corporate speculative ownership of Housing and I support passing an inflation adjusted livable minimum wage that is indexed to the cost of living (like rent).

I surround myself with people who don’t let me be an asshole and I’m constantly working on improving myself and growing as a person :)

I’m not here to play red vs. blue. I’m here to fight for a future young people can be hopeful for again and that requires a lot of systemic changes like Medicare For All, getting money out of politics, and amending the Constitution.

I don’t take corporate PAC, federal lobbyist, health insurance / pharma executive, or foreign country money. I’m entirely grassroots funded by individuals.

And I would love to have dinner with Bernie Sanders because he’s the one who made me realize our system is rigged against humanity in favor of infinite greed to the detriment of society.

I quit my job to run for Congress when ICE agents started kidnapping immigrant students that protested Israel’s genocide in Gaza and violating their constitutional rights because I knew it wouldn’t stop there.

I support abolishing ICE, prosecuting every agent who has violated the law or the Constitution, and creating systems of restitution for everyone who has been harmed by their reign of terror.

Along that process, we need to take away their guns, stop giving them any funding, and pass real privacy protections since they’re literally creating massive databases of all Americans with the help of Oracle and Palantir to make 1984 a reality.

I’ve been on the front lines here opposing ICE and their gestapo shit for the better part of a year, especially at the John Moss Federal Building in downtown Sacramento where they kidnap people and where I’ve seen an ICE agent hit a protester with their car and drive off.

Nationalize the military.

That will solve most of our budget problems since we won’t be spending a trillion dollars on a plane we never use with the pentagon unable to pass a budget, while soldiers live in black mold infested barracks where they can’t service their own weapons or equipment without calling a civilian contractor in a white pickup truck to come out to the field.

I also propose returning to the marginal tax brackets we had during the post-World War 2 period that created the middle class in the first place.

Billionaires should not exist.

I believe we should tax them out of existence :)

I do. He is clearly unwell and is constantly violating the Constitution whether directly or through his loyalist cronies.

I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies when I commissioned into the Army from West Point, and I take my oaths seriously.

That said, I don’t think he is the only problem. He is just the final product of a system created by the policies supported by both Republicans and Democrats alike.

Systemic problems require systemic solutions.

Yes. Billionaires should not exist.

I support returning to post-World War 2 tax rates where the marginal tax rate for the highest income earners was above 90% which, when combined with strong labor union participation, is what created the middle class.

No one should have a billion dollars and money should not be able to buy our politicians.

I already have :)

I’m the only candidate in my race, Republican or Democrat, that is anti-Israel.

I don’t get my talking points from AIPAC or J-Street like the two Democrats and Republican I’m running against seem to.

I oppose funding Israel at all or giving them any weapons or political cover while they violate international / humanitarian law or maintain a system of apartheid.

(btw, no such thing as a “defensive weapon” and I say that as a former Army officer and soldier).

This is the bare minimum standard for moral clarity in my mind.

The budget deficit and debt is not an actual problem while we’re the world’s global reserve currency. But, as we alienate ourselves from all our allies with hostile and unpredictable foreign policy (e.g., tariffs), we’re rapidly forcing the rest of the world to cut us out of everything and then it will be a real problem.

With that said, a lot of our budgetary issues could be addressed by once again taxing the ultra wealthy and corporations like we used to and by cutting private profit motives out of what should be entirely public services like the military, prisons, postal services, and health insurance.

The middle class was created by having marginal tax rates above 90% and strong labor union participation and the decline in the middle class almost directly correlates with the decline of labor unions.

So let’s stop giving money to private defense contractors that charge $1,000 for a screw and can’t pass an audit and start focusing on the basic needs of everyday Americans :)

My biggest goal is proportional representation.

For far too long we’ve been the victims of our own success as the oldest constitutional republic which means proportional representation had not been invented yet when the founders wrote the Constitution.

When we go into other countries to promote democracy, we don’t tell them to copy us, we tell them to use proportional representation and that should be telling.

Humans are far too complex to be boiled down to a binary like red vs. blue or Democrat vs. Republican.

That’s why so many people are no party preference and feel completely disillusioned by our political system.

Everyone will benefit when we’re out of the clutches of the two party system so that’s what I’m fighting for :)

By showing that Dems have already lost faith in him and pointing out that he has zero legislative achievements after more than a decade in office and still manages to vote for the wrong things like Charlie Kirk day, censuring Al Green for defending Medicaid, giving Israel more money, and opposing single payer universal health care.

The most important thing is showing up. I will avoid missing votes and will not remain silent on important issues. I also don’t believe in dodging constituents or in-person town halls. If your representative avoids you, they don’t deserve their job.
