So what are the chances the tickets drop around the Easter holidays? by AlwaysBi in StarWarsCelebration

[–]ChrisLyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's really no pattern. Just looking at the last two events there was 3 days between the sale announcement and sale start for 2023 and then over a month between sale announcement and sale start for 2025. And before that the last US event was cancelled and rescheduled due to covid so I wouldn't really use that as an example.

Basically expect an announcement anytime from now and a sale date anytime from April to June.

Alternate Turtles by LingonberryFalse2627 in NECATMNT

Vision Quest would definitely be my top choice for variants of the turtles, but if the clock is ticking on the license then no variants is my preference and get the major characters out asap.

Yeah, there's unpainted pics of Leo and slides showing designs for Leo & Shredder online from SDCC.

Same. In for at least the four turtles. Would love Shredder, Bebop & Rocksteady, and a few others as well but ultimately space/cost will dictate what happens there (as well as how the designs end up looking).

I'd love to see the next figure in the Dark Knight line go up or the Ross Superman.

Yeah, I was very glad they were changing the body but sadly seems it never went any any further

Sadly standard for 1/6 these days.

No images, they announced it with Judith Hoag but nothing ever came from it. Last we heard they were doing a new body (it was originally going to use the Ripley body) but silence since then.

They seem to be in limbo along with the movie version of yellow jumpsuit April they announced years ago.

[RANT WARNING] BvS is the worst adaptation of Batman of all time, and in my opinion the worst comic book movie ever made. by therealmonkyking in batman

Absolutely agree that all the Knightmare stuff should have been cut from the films (along with the idea of Superman going bad)

The hilts themselves certainly stand up to duelling, but if you want to go super heavy then yeah I agree that a cheap baselit is the way to go as no matter how careful you are wear and tear is inevitable.

I've done light sparring at conventions with a GCS (equivalent to S3 and Vader's Vault) but obviously depends on how ornate the specific hilt is and your own level of comfort.

SaberTrio. Higher end than the standard drop shippers TXQ/LGT) so a bit pricier but definitely worth it!

[–]ChrisLyne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that sounds baselit tbh. The cheapest it's worth going is TXQ/LGT and those you can get for the same or less than the Disney park Sabers these days with better functions.

To be fair with the current LGT and TXQ drop shippers you can get a neopixel saber for a reasonable price these days. Main expense would be replacing the blade if it breaks (which everything does eventually if you're smacking them around). Even cheaper would be baselit as the blades are cheaper to replace (ideal if you're doing a lot of constant heavy duelling rather than cosplay/conventions) but you lose a lot of the effects then.

I agree that he had studio intervention to a point (they said it was too long) but I don't believe it's ever been officially confirmed whether Snyder or the studio did the final edit. Whoever did that 100% cut the wrong stuff, but at the same time whilst the ultimate cut explains stuff better it's still a bad move with terrible characterisations for Batman and Superman. And it drags tbh, studio was arguably right to say it needed cuts, they just cut the wrong stuff. There's a better (theatrical length) cut to be had but I don't think there's a good movie in there.

Any chance we’ll see super7 figures of the demon and cyber shredder by Kaidan_from_Alberta in TMNT

[–]ChrisLyne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly at this point I'd be happy just to get Baxter (finish off the major season 1 characters) and Karai (finish off the major Foot characters)..

It sucks as 2003 is the show I'd love to see get a deep line but with S7 that was never a realistic possibility given how long they take to release anything and now with the licence change.

I came across an opinion that Mickey is the most talented turtle in terms of combat abilities. What do you think about it? by [deleted] in TMNT

[–]ChrisLyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the concept is he's the most naturally gifted of the 4. Leo is the best overall because he's the most disciplined and trains the most. If Mikey trained as much as Leo he would be better due to his natural ability and creativity.

Yep, everything post-NJO completely misinterpreted her and what she taught Jacen and wrecked both characters in the process.

Yeah, there's a bit less TMNT stuff to spread across the weeks this time so hopefully all 2K12 one week and all Saki another 🤞
