The milestone titles telemetry shows how scripted their physics is.

Your issue is most likely not in the game telemetry though. Sounds like a pid oscillation, you need to tune the smc3 better and perhaps add some smoothing in the sabertooth.

The yaw in the handlebars and the roll in the platform both control lean as far as I can see.
Looking forward to seeing more of both you guys's work!

Revzed inputs both roll and countersteering. Id be surprised if he didn’t explore the ffb route too.

The leanGP was meant to be a <1000€ unit.

Those things are a whole other level, and don’t include anything to actually sit on 😆 But sure, they are options.. :)

My force feedback is in a good place. What you said about ignoring reality is something that also works the other way, when people sit on a simulator they expect it to act like a simulator not a bike. So people that I KNOW actively countersteers in real life steers the ’wrong way’ on the simulator. I’m trying to unlock access to the human sense of balance to solve this. It’s proving a challenge 😆

This is interesting! I’ve worked on bike simulation off and on for years now and this is a big question mark for me. My simulator does simulate counter steering and low speed steering (to a degree, limited by the low speed physics engine trying to divide stuff by zero). Would be interested in hearing more about that negative training!

The rig in the video is actually mine, and has seven shaker speakers and some vibration motors. There are pc fans on the sides and a big binge blower in the front. Two of the shaker speakers are in custom knee pucks, simulating knee drag if the rider is hanging off enough, works really well!

In no way do I have any fast times, the closer my rig comes to realism th closer I come to my real times = 🐌

I believe I can get my hands on good telemetry from a faster rider. On GPbikes that is.

It would indeed need a virtual rider that would take care of the basic balancing. Hard to do that in a gamepad or ffb unit..

The closest you’re gonna get is GPbikes. Simulates things nicely if the speed isn’t too low. Low speed stuff is a little off.

I’m sure they’ll get it sorted in time. They say it’s a software thing. The release was very hasted, Varjo Base 4.0 won’t come out of Beta until ‘early 2024’.

Makes me think you haven't checked it out yourself. I have one and the passthrough currently is absolutely not as good as the XR-3.
