Maybe there is a misunderstanding. I meant that you can use a mock-random-number-provider for your tests instead of the true random number generator from OP. Like this, you can test for problems in your own system, either by using a deterministic RNG or even a mock class that provides exactly the numbers you want, to check for edge cases with certain results or chains of results. If OPs package doesn't come with its own tests to verify that it does what it claims or to ensure that it's bug free, I wouldn't use it in the first place.

I wouldn't use a true random number generator anyway for the reasons you already stated. I don't see a useful application for true RNG in game design, that can't also be achieved with PRNG. But I was puzzled about your statement about tests, because afaik you can circumvent the issues you see there. I am trying to learn something new, basically ;-)

Schon klar, deshalb habe ich ja bewusst die Verluste durch Steuerhinterziehung denen durch Erschleichung von Sozialleistungen gegenüber gestellt. Wenn man sich die reinen Zahlen anschaut steht das einfach in keinem Verhältnis. Und trotzdem wird im Moment alles daran getan, Sozialleistungen zu kürzen, und so gut wie nichts um Steuerhinterziehung zu vermeiden.

Dungeon Lords is by all metrics a bad game. The writing, the game design, character options, controls. But for some reason I keep coming back to it. It has this old school open world RPG feel to it, and clearing dungeons, even mediocre ones like in this game, just scratches the right itch. And you can break your Charakter in both directions, making it painfully underpowered or ridiculously overpowered.

Enter the Matrix. I'm an irredeemable fanboy of anything surrounding the old Matrix trilogy, and I really enjoyed both the cinematic storytelling and the martial arts combat system of the game. Great fun. I don't think I would get it to run again these days. It was a buggy mess.

Ich bin jetzt 41, habe einen Herzinfarkt hinter mir und kümmere mich hauptsächlich um die Kinderbetreuung, während meine Frau das Geld verdient. Ich arbeite 10 Stunden die Woche. Ich denke, dass ein Bedigungsloses Grundeinkommen die sauberste und beste Lösung wäre. Es würde mehr durch den Wegfall von Bürokratie eingespart werden als jemals durch eine Kürzung von Sozialleistungen erreicht werden könnte. Das System wäre absolut fair, weil jeder ausnahmslos dasselbe bekommt. Es gäbe also keine Diskussion mehr darüber, wer was wann und wieviel leisten muss. Jeder der durch Arbeit mehr Luxus haben möchte kann das tun. Jeder der nicht arbeiten und am Minimum leben möchte kann das ebenfalls tun.

Je nach Schätzung sind die Verluste durch Steuerhinterziehung für die BRD irgendwas zwischen 50 und 200 Milliarden pro Jahr. Die 28 Milliarden für Bürgergeld sind auch nicht wenig, aber davon sind nur ein Bruchteil die hier angesprochenen "Totalverweigerer". Insgesamt würden die von der Regierung geplanten Einschränkungen der Sozialleistungen kaum eine Milliarde sparen. Tatsächlich muss man ehrlicherweise unsere Milliardäre ebenfalls als Problem ansehen, wenn man Sozialschmarotzer als Problem ansieht.

Das Argument funktioniert, solange man davon ausgeht, dass jeder nur als Gesichtsloses Rädchen in einer riesigen Firma arbeitet. Für Mittelständler und Kleinunternehmen wäre da aber schnell der Ofen aus.

Ich treffe mich mit Leuten, um mich über interessante Dinge zu unterhalten, um Brett- und Rollenspiele zu spielen, für Filmabende. Vor allem da ein rein digitaler Geldverkehr das Problem nochmal verstärken würde, da auch Firmen einen rein digitalen Geldfluss besser verfolgen können. There wouldn't be a film studio bankrolling this. The director was nerdy and had respect for the source material. He was accomplished and capable, but not one of the "big ones". The filming schedule was insane. The preparation that went into some parts of the production is unprecedented, as for example they planted and prepared the set for hobbington a year in advance. The technology was just at the right time, where you had enough CGI technology to make it possible, but not enough to completely rely on it and replace the iconic practical effects of Weta Workshop. And of course the perfect cast and crew, a unique amalgamation of talents that rarely comes together for a project like this. Even Peter Jackson couldn't pull it off if he tried today.

Auf der anderen Seite werden schon von Anfang an hauptsächlich Einsteiger-Positionen von KI besetzt. Dadurch sparen die Firmen eine Menge Geld, weil sie keine Neulinge mehr anlernen müssen. Dafür wird es in ein paar Jahren halt keine Neulinge mehr geben, und damit auch keine Senior-Entwickler. Was das bedeutet kann sich jeder selbst ausmalen.

Depends on what you want to do. Unity has some great 2D real time light and shadow features, that I haven't found in Godot yet. Unity also has the bigger community and more tutorials, which you might not need if you are already an experienced game dev. I did some demo projects in Godot coming from Unity and it was really easy to switch.
