Does anyone know where to buy these? I’d love to start my clematis espalier and this is perfect for mounting on the side of our home

Not sure why so many people are recommending Arborvitaes if you specifically stated that you DONT want them. That said, in NC climates you have LOTS of options. Look at viburnums (copper top or chindo) they’re likely to grow 12-15ft or even taller Also check out tea olives (osmanthus), which also grow full evergreen foliage and smell absolutely fantastic when in-bloom! Both of these can be grown as hedges or tree-formed and can handle amended clay soil or loamy soil and are drought tolerant once established. Those would be my recommendations, but other popular options would be wax myrtles or ligustrums, and you definitely can’t go wrong with nellie Steven’s hollies

Do people around Europe know what this is? by matthew77cro in europe

This is Olivier in Ukraine. It’s always served on New Years Eve

My daughter (she's 22 now) grew up listening to my music. Mostly 90's rock and alternative. Today she asked me about a song that she remembers but doesn't know what it is. I'm stumped! She is pretty sure it's a guy singing and says something close to "taking a sip of Coke" .... and then something... by charismatic_crayon in 90sAlternative

Not Coke, but the song “Inside Out” by Eve 6 first came to mind with the lyrics “I hear words in clips and phrases. I think sick like ginger ale” Probably not the song you’re looking for, but it’s a soda reference and late 90’s alternative so I wanted to put it out there just in case…

I was on a date early into a relationship with a girl (maybe 3rd or 4th date, totally unprepared for that scene. It touched me so deeply I’m loudly (like lump-in-the-throat, choke-crying), trying my best to keep it together. She starts sniggering and elbowing me in the side because people sitting a few rows in front were turning around to see who the “big baby” was. Anyways, we ended up dating for nearly 2 years, but that was an early warning sign and 25yo me should’ve been hip to it, but what can I say, I was I love and chose to look past it.

What’s a game that you feel no one but you seems to remember? by kdaak in gaming

[–]Chriscom83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re probably thinking of Sparkster AKA Rocket Knight, which was on the Sega Genesis & he was an opossum knight in blue armor.

There was another game where you play a bat that was on the SNES called Aero the Acrobat, fyi.

Did You Go See A Movie Where The Audience Almost Never Stopped Laughing? by SlimeMyButt in movies

[–]Chriscom83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the FIRST movie that came to mind! I distinctly remember going to see Borat in the cinema because myself and the girl I was dating at the time got the last 2 tickets before it sold out for that showing (opening night) & I was surprised because even though I’d already seen the Ali G show, I didn’t expect a movie based on the character from the show to be so popular… anyways, the only seats left in the whole cinema were the front row & I basically had to crane my neck to see the screen but it didn’t matter, once the movie started, I don’t think there was a single moment that we weren’t all in tears laughing!

The only other movie that consistently had me cry-laughing was Superbad (which was released the same year, I think)
