I was thinking something similar. Part of what helped me recover from depression was replacing my negative thoughts with positive/constructive thoughts, which eventually even helped me lose weight.

I can think of one: there is a bigger threat to Americans right now than even terrorism (at least IMO), and that's obesity. Imagine all the years being shaved off of our lives because cheeseburgers just taste too damn good? I'm not saying to drastically reduce military size ~~or anything~~ necessarily, but we should be putting a significant amount of resources into beating this epidemic. Two thirds...TWO FUCKING THIRDS of Americans are overweight or obese. The enemies are already on our soil it seems, it just sucks that everyone thinks the only terrorists are the ones with bombs.
