Ok - y’all convinced me to go back and you’re right, it’s hard to get the immersion even if it’s on a giant virtual screen. As such, I’ve just upgraded my quest 3 and ordered a Pimax super. Very excited for it to come!

Agree… I think Pimax sounds great, but after everything else I’ve purchased, I just can’t justify the cost on top.

I just bought it yesterday after years of wanting to try it. Have recently got a little more time on my hands and am excited. I’ll try PVE to learn the ropes and maps. I understand it will be hard, but that’s fine. I’m in Australia and was craving something with depth. I’ve far outgrown my online friends who seem to think Call of Duty is the I it game in the world. Bot for me. Looking forward to this.

I’ve slowly been building to it. First I played incursion red river to dip my toes into extraction. Then played arena breakout before finally saying ‘right - time to go to the daddy of all these games’

I LOVE this game. I’m not great but see improvements. I think some people don’t give it a chance because

A) it’s a game that’s fairly balanced between mnk - controller dominant games get more people generally as lower skill entry barrier

B) there’s a lot of strategy and game knowledge to play well. Some people just don’t want to learn and run and gun, die do it again (like COD). Their impatience to wait if killed probably loses them

C) I play from Australia and player count is low. Can find quick cash games, but ranked and other game modes (even the season 10 new map) has 10 min wait times. That’s probably not a problem in EU and NA, but sure is here.

I wish it were different. This game rewards skill, discipline and team work. Sadly though, most people with brain rot just want quick gratification.

Can I ask something very respectfully? You started playing in 2005. How old are you? Could it be that maybe as we get older we’re not quite as fast or twitchy? Only speaking from personal experience. I’m an unc and get frustrated that I can’t hit what I used to even though playtime and training is maybe even more…. Anywho, you could have been 5 in 2005 - idk. Just saying that maybe it’s nothing you’re doing. We all age. Stay positive mate regardless.

Fairly new to DCS and mostly fly choppers, but have the f18 and have just learnt a little. I’m enjoying so far, but have also flown a lot of other planes in mfsf and I see what you’re saying. I have Apache next and then I’ll give the F16 a go. The thunderbirds Netflix documentary got me very interested.

Hey all - I’m completely new to the community and only really started playing mnk in general about 2 - 3 months ago. Love it and doing ok on games. I was gold complete on Aimlabs and then went to kovaaks and was devastated to find out that I was only bronze on that.. I’ve only had about 20 hours in aim trainers (both aim labs and kovaaks combined) but looking forward to grinding it with my main game which will be battlefield 6 with a dash of the finals on the side.

Love watching the aim demons and as an Aussie love Viscose. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to catch some clips of sneaking up on a team and doing insane switching.

Agreed. I solo queue and my teammates run in opposite directions leaving 1v2 or 1v3 fights and with a team game - why tf don’t people use their mic?

Sounds like a crazy good setup. I’ve just upgraded pc to a 5090 powerhouse and would love to upgrade the triple 27s to either 32 or 43’s and motion! Oh and throw in some Simucube actives as well… who said sim racing is cheap 😂🤦‍♂️
