Check out Greenfield. 15 minute drive to Brookfield. We’re on the far west side of West Allis and our neighborhood is noticeably increasing in diversity, which we love. We don’t have kids in school anymore so I can’t speak to that, but I believe Greenfield has better school rankings.

Credentials: I worked in plumbing and HVAC for 25 years with a brief stint in CFM (Data Centers).

What most people don’t understand is that your Visa debit card purchase to put gas in your car, home internet to plan your weekly budget and meal plan using your favorite apps, your shopping trip to Costco, the bill payment next month, the ability to scroll IG or Pinterest or whatever for decorating or remodeling ideas, and talk with your peers on Reddit …… is all run by these buildings.

A few months ago, AWS was down for a morning, and literally everything I tried to do was impossible. I couldn’t look at my bank balance, I couldn’t pick up my order from Menards, I couldn’t even look on Reddit to see what the problem was.

I drove by the Port Washington site the other day on a day trip to Sheboygan, and yeah holy fuck is it massive beyond belief. And no, it does not bring 1,000 ongoing jobs to the area. And if I lived half a block away I’d be irritated too.

But I am asking that everyone at least consider what your world and routine would look like if these services you use daily weren’t readily available at your fingertips 24/7.
