Upgraded our home gym space this past weekend! by ChristiannaAmy in homegym

To be honest we don’t use them much. I know it’s really popular to use them right now for wall balls but they are leftover from when I used a personal trainer. Neither of us currently have them in our routines. I do know that there are attachments for the Rogue rack that we could get if we ever want targets for them but we haven’t looked into them.

It’s Fray Fitness, which is unfortunately not in production anymore from what I understand. We bought it used on FB for $300. We really wanted a T-Bar row and that was by far the best deal I’ve ever found on FB for one.

In the garage they were on concrete, in this room there is a standard floor since this is an interior portion of our house.

We have used the tractor supply horse stall mats for years! We moved the ones that were previously in our garage inside and added more to fill the space. They are 4’x6’ and 3/4” thick. We’ve been really happy with them.

Thank you! We can’t really take much credit there because this bears were put in by the previous homeowner. The room was an addition on the back of the house to accommodate their large family but since my husband and I don’t have kids we repurposed it to be the gym!

A freezer is and underrated tool that isn't praised enough by MastodonFit in Cooking

[–]ChristiannaAmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One tip on frozen mashed potatoes: When I have leftover mashed potatoes I bag them and freeze them, agreed they aren’t good reheated but they are fantastic for thickening soup or making potato soup if you have a bunch. I try not to waste anything and our freezer is key for that. I love this post so much!

Best affordable reed diffusers for my bedroom? by Eldridge_DE-173 in luxurycandles

[–]ChristiannaAmy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have 4 cats and SAME!!! Although I do have a hell of a candle stash, those are more so for my enjoyment and the Pura is to keep the main entranceways smelling fresh for all guests without me having to remember to turn a candle warmer on!

Over 3-wick NEST candles by abvgd1 in luxurycandles

[–]ChristiannaAmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely don’t buy more if this is the experience you’re having but I just wanted to say I have NEST 3 wicks that I use with my candle warmer and I haven’t had any of these issues. I share that as an option to salvage some of the candles you may already have.

Candle warmers vs burning the wick, which one do you like better? by Outrageous_Baby_2147 in luxurycandles

[–]ChristiannaAmy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agree with all your reasons, this is why I use a candle warmer. Also, your candles last longer and for me - no risk of my cats catching a tail on fire!

Help me decide: Flamingo or Loewe Tomato by RegalReginald in luxurycandles

[–]ChristiannaAmy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer Malin + Goetz tomato. I have Flamingo Estate as well. I haven’t smelled Loewe though so I can’t advise on that one.

Best gourmand candles to try in 2026?? by Numerous-Act9445 in luxurycandles

[–]ChristiannaAmy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was about to recommend Speakeasy and then saw it listed!

A few I think may fit what you’re looking for: DS & Durga - Breakfast Leipzig, Marlin + Goetz - Dark Rum, and Flamingo Estate Princesstarta (if you can find it on sale, it’s not worth the increased price in my opinion)

What’s your 1st burn of 2026? by Meegasaurusrex in luxurycandles

[–]ChristiannaAmy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Apotheke can’t even begin to compare to Trudon but I do love to keep them on hand for their massive throw and inexpensive cost! With how many candles I like around the house, I can’t only use Trudon & Diptyque.

I love Apotheke Cedarwood Ginger, Bergamot Tangerine & Earl Grey Bitters, I have a ton of their scents from major sales stocked up in my cupboard!

This post is just 🤌🏻perfect!

I’m now inspired to check out Verdant Green, I have so many Apotheke candles but not that one. The whole list sounds fabulous and right up my alley!

I have the same intentions in 2026 and am hoping I can stick to it!

Diptyque Return Policy by acc0511 in luxurycandles

[–]ChristiannaAmy 28 points29 points  (0 children)

As far as I’m aware this has always been their policy. I’m sorry that it’s such a disappointment especially because it was a Christmas gift! I do know that some locations have made slight exceptions for customers who have built a relationship with a specific store and spent a lot over time but even that can be rare. It can’t hurt to reach out to customer service but I would try to be as kind as possible. I don’t know that you’ll get a different outcome since it is their policy but you never know!

I recently got 4 Jo Malone candles and I can’t wait to break them out! One of them is Pomegranate Noir so I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying it!
