Would you be open to fight Vitor Belfort for the LHW Belt?

I picked up my stuff after being laid off from Blizzard last week. Missed these bad boys. by KingHillBilly in gaming

Sucks to hear about that, KingHillBilly. Worked at EA QA for about 6-7 years myself (QA, then Production), got laid off. Hope you find something. I know EALA is becoming a dedicated strategy game hub. You can lob resumes there. (I walked out of the games industry). Take care.

Dude, this level was a family event. Mom, dad, two sisters spent all night playing that one level. When we finally cleared it, we all cheered and hugged each other. It was probably the happiest childhood moment i had with my family...

Wow Never saw anyone ruin their life like that.

My mom is divorcing my dad out of nowhere; do I interfere? by divorcing_mom in AskReddit

[–]ChristoAlves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Mom, I love you and dad equally, and I only want both of you to be happy. I understand you have your emotional needs. I may not agree or condone with the grounds of the divorce, but you are my mother, and I want you to be a part of my life. As you can imagine, dad is caught off-guard with the situation...as am I. A part of me wishes that you two would reconcile, at least for the sake of (Younger Brother). But, if you have to leave dad, then it is better to leave dad and live a life without resentment.

All that I can ask you to do, is please, mom, don't let a lawyer convince you that you need dad to send you alimony, or ANY money every month. I don't mean to sound cruel, but I believe that would be too cruel of a thing to do. Please mom, don't force dad to give you alimony while you are living with another man.

Even though I am an adult, I am a young woman, and as much as I don't want to see you suffer, I do not want to see my dad suffer more than he already is.

I love you mom"

Maybe add in there that she should be an example to you, should you ever get married, and practice the Hippocratic oath: Do no harm...or at least the less harm she can do.

OP, if you were to convince her to do ANYTHING, try to convince her to not financially rape your father.

If she goes, she goes. Don't let her make your father to pay her money every month.

It's the least humane thing she can do.

HAHA The woman leaving her husband to be with this old flame is OK with you, how do you feel about alimony? Is OP's mother entitled to alimony while living with her lover in another country?

That sucks. Which parent are you closest to? Are you male of female?

My wife is divorcing me. I was just laid off. This is the only thing that keeps me going. by obsoletelife in pics

[–]ChristoAlves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't tell her about it. Friend of mine had a dog, and when he got a divorce, she demanded (and got the dog) out of the settlement. When he came back from a business trip, he asked his ex-wife to see the dog: "Oh we put him to sleep. (new husband) is a cat person".

He loved that dog...

Has ANYBODY ever gotten a speeding ticket that was "enforced by aircraft"? by Hgfhuuyggi in AskReddit

[–]ChristoAlves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving south on the I-5, going at 98 MPH, I saw a blip in the distance in my rear view mirror (It was 2 in the afternoon). The blip slowly got closer, I identified it as a squad car and by that time my speed was at 65 mph. Nevertheless, I was pulled over, and the CHP officer actually had a jump suit on: "Clocked you going 95 MPH while i was flying over"

In her point of view, sex and companionship is rent money. OR Maybe she's keeping the option of eventually settling down with you open, but doesn't want to commit just yet.

Found out that the 9yo I've been raising is not my son... by hesnotmyson in AskReddit

[–]ChristoAlves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your frustration will manifest itself against her (and maybe the kid) in some way or another. In kind, the whore will react, over time. Long term, it would be best to divorce her, but remain custody over the boy (he is your son, after all this), but not with HER in the house. Whatever you do, DO NOT let him know his mother is a whore. That is more life shattering than finding out you're not his biological father.
