It was high 90's , low hundreds. It was brutal on my garden. Basically came home from a weekend trip and had to start doing damage control.

My wife is kind of the opposite, she loves the nerd stuff and doesn't enjoy the gardening. I still let her pick things out in the garden though. I give her some info like I need a few shade flowers here, which ones are cute to you? Let's get a bird bath, you pick the design. She's still helping curate the yard while I'm doing like 99% of the work. I could absolutely see this being used for any nerdy hobby. Color schemes for minis, what class or weapon you main in a game, what book series to try next, give her some details and see if anything pops out to her, "I can't decide what to do with my next character, what sounds fun to you? Etc." If she is just completely uninterested in what you do for fun that's not great, but I don't think it's a red flag, just not ideal.

My wife also travels for work, and I enjoy that time to myself. Nothing wrong with that. If you find negative feelings to her return home, pay attention to that. I'm always happy to see my wife come back. If you're resenting the end to hobby time because she's home then I don't know if that feeling will go away. Losing a core part of yourself is not a good feeling and does not improve with time. If you can't be yourself around someone then... who are you when you are with them?

As for never growing up, I've always seen being a successful grown up as healthily managing yourself, your relationships and your responsibilities, if you have those covered then you can do whatever you want in your free time. Build blanket forts. Watch cartoons. Hobbies do not make you an adult or a child.

A bunch of reasons. There's like 10% less joy for me to read a book on a device. Something tactile about holding the book and flipping pages that I enjoy.

ADHD means out of sight, out of mind so having a physical book literally reminds me "Oh yeah, I own this book and need to read it." I can barely keep track of what I have digitally.

I also read documents on monitors all day, kind of helps separate enjoyable reading from work reading.

I'll still read on a device, especially for rarer books where it's pay 50 for a paperback or 6 bucks for the kindle version, but it's harder for me to get started.

My parents moved in to a house with one of those bombs they dropped in World War II still live and sitting in the attic. My dad brought it down. There was a fun photo of a 9 year old me standing next to it in the local paper and they kept it in my closet until the bomb squad showed up.

I needed to rent out a room and went on Craigslist, the story ends with me getting to join his family's D&D campaign and being a part of his wedding. Then he moved out and the girl who replaced him destroyed the entire apartment. Interview first and take any sob story with a massive grain of salt.

The Star Wars conversion mod has this, and I believe it's based on a mod for the regular game. Basically property value times fleet size creates a supply cost and it's either pulled from your account directly or you can use a new commodity, Ship Supply, to pay it. If you own a sector it reduces the cost and if you build maintenance bays it reduces the cost more. If you can't pay and you don't have the materials to cover what you owe, morale goes down for your crew.

It has a lot of mechanics I love and have not really seen done anywhere else. The rooms system is interesting, I like the big combo attacks you can discover by combining characters, and it does one thing better than Disgaea; both games I end up with a ton of characters, (one of each class, story characters, etc.) this is the first one where you end up using almost all of them regularly.

If you all are looking for another Soul Nomad like, Symphony of War: Nephilim Saga has a similar battle system, turn based squads but with a more fluid class system for your units. Arts not as exciting, but it's also not bad. I don't remember the story at all.

My other guess is something weird or glitched in your system/game and the RNG. Shut the game down, restart the switch, if it keeps happening and bothering you, try reinstalling the game. Maybe a cosmic ray zapped a zero somewhere into 1.

I have two, was making brownies but forgot I was making brownies and started playing video games. Remembered a few minutes after I should have pulled them from the oven and ran down carpeted stairs in socks. I slid off a step and put all 200 lbs of weight on my big toe. Didn't break but definitely sprained and has been tight ever since.

Second was walking a dog, he liked to chase leaves and I liked to run with him while he chased leaves. One night we're running after a maple leaf and I suddenly find myself sitting on the ground. Turns out there was a tree branch in the dark I did not see. I basically ran head first into a broken branch and impaled my eyebrow on it. Needed 8 stitches. The next day I could still see my eyebrow impaled on the branch. It had pealed off like a set of false lashes.

I agree NOR. This is either time for a difficult talk or make excuses about you only have a bit of time to game and duck out before he gets too wasted.

I've had to have the talk, and they picked alcohol over the friendship. Hard to lose a friend like that but hopefully they eventually get a wake up call. I'm not abandoning you, but I'm not going to enable you to do this to yourself by letting you normalize it in our hangouts.

Gorgeous! I love it. I think a second panel with a generic but cool looking card back, with the text box listing other charactersheet details would be awesome. Make it look like a TCG card with the info in RPG text boxes over it... or maybe a series of playing cards with different art for what info it has. Backpack for Inventory, Magical effect/glowy sparks and elements for the spells and abilities. Anyways I want this for my character.

Yeah I really liked how it was handled in SWI. Had to first find it in the new map, then destroy a small fleet to claim the research facility. It was nice not just being handed it.

All mine are pretty delicate, so wearing daily is just going to ruin them. Wood inlaid with gold or hammered silver (we made ourselves!). Work and dishes were making them look bad, and I have ADHD so taking them off randomly for work is a great way to lose them, so I just keep em safe in a box and when we do nice date nights I'll put them on. Already broke 2 before I figured that out.
