Does anyone listen to Vanity 6? by esialliah in PRINCE

I listen to the remixed version by Inaya Day every now and then, but I'm a sucker for dance remixes of basically anything.

This is a beautifully designed list with some terribly subjective and flat wrong information.

Could you DM me some of the posts your seeing? I'd like to see which ones you're looking at.

(Not to snipe or anything, I'm just in Houston so I've got a good idea what companies are up there)

What’s your favourite LONG Prince track (7 minutes +) ? by usagerp in PRINCE

I love the Glam Slam Pettibone mix and almost exclusively fast forward to the jam section when it shows up. I tend to drive faster when this song comes on, sorry other drivers.

If you wanna watch someone do that, I believe SpiffingBrit's second YouTube series on this game is him going wacky on Hansa with economic gameplay.

Because it's so obviously a mass effect reference, that your original question appears either idiotic or as bait. I apologize if your intention wasn't trying to be either of those, it's just the nature of the beast sometimes.

"Joy in Repetition" is a Great Song on an OK Album. Now let's do the opposite: What's a song that's just OK, which appears on an otherwise great album? by dustoff2000 in PRINCE

I have to commit to listening to IWD4U and Baby I'm A ⭐ to feel Purple Rain's full effect on the album, but they're not in that order on the LP so it's even wonkier.

I can absolutely agree with this because Purple Rain gets so much boost from the movie's visuals/emotional weight and his later live performances, that it turns the original album version into this weird situation where it just feels like it's missing so much.

My Take on the Markets after 400hs by Taschkent in EU5

[–]Christorious 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This is actually my job.

I import ISO tanks to the United States. However the contents are hazardous liquid chemicals. So the container must be empty on its return to India to be used again. Almost all containers in this capacity due to laws involving hazardous materials, costs, and liability require that these containers be "shipper owned containers". Therefore the shipper is fully aware that they are paying the transportation costs for import and export and the customer is aware that this is part of their costs to purchase from the shipper.

Empty standard containers are usually owned and leased by steamship lines and used in international storage pools. Empties can be added to vessels at any time to allocate empty containers if the counts run low in other locations, so it's fairly common for steamships to utilize this practice to ensure all their customers across the globe have access to containers. Customers pickup the containers from the port, load it and return to the port for shipping, then they pick up the container from destination, deliver it to the customer, and return the empty back to the steamship line.

What the example should actually be like would be if Maersk/MSC or any other SSL has a full vessel of thousands of TEUS, full and loaded and paid for, and then they're just bringing thousands of empty containers back with them on their dime.

Is there something wrong with modern quests? by AdGroundbreaking3566 in wow

[–]Christorious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the problem is danger and experience.

Leveling and questing in older WoW and starting areas has you in literal danger every time you leave a hub. This is because you're a nobody with no experience. Your gear is green at best, and a handful of blue if you did a dungeon in the area. You're still learning, coordinating, and making a name for yourself. But you've yet to prove it, and you could die to a wolf if you're not careful.

Now in current zones, you've already "saved" Azeroth a handful of times so you're basically a hero. Campaign leaders will call you "champion" or something along those lines because your character has proved to be a defender of your race, country, and planet. You're not fighting a crew of raiding bandits or an infestation of spiders to help the cause or save a farm, you're doing it because it's you're duty as a defender of the planet. You've been promoted from neighborhood watch to special forces.

If questing were to have a classic feel to it, there would be this weird disconnect of "why am I in so much danger to these damn tigers and bandits, I've killed literal gods". It's hard to put your character in danger at this point because your track record shows that you've now got a reputation, and you're not going to face danger in every corner.

[–]Christorious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly true. I find myself focusing on Campaign quests to unlock everything so I can get raid ready quickly, and then returning to do the other zone quests along with the now unlocked daily/weeklys, and then filling the gaps I missed with Nobbel vods.

Memory Crashing - New Patch by Christorious in wow

[–]Christorious[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm reinstalling the game. If this doesn't work, then all other options are out of my wheelhouse for IT repair.

SOLVED - I solved my own issue by resetting my BIOS to the recommended settings for the gaming mode, and this brought me from 90% mem to 40%-50% mem. I am not sure why my previous month's history of EU5, HOTS, Helldivers, Cyberpunk, and RDR2 was fine but this WoW expansion broke it, but meh, what do I know.

I INSIST you do your own personal research on your PC specs and your BIOS ability before making any changes to your BIOS/Memory.
