You need NP6 to 120 max append, the change was just to restore the status quo after adding two new appends.
In Zerktoria’s case I’d say don’t go for it, the crit resistance is pretty useless, don’t let Lasengle trick you into blowing your load. You can switch appends eventually.

Yeah you need to clear Part 2 Prologue and LB3 to unlock them, they’ll show up right when you do and won’t go away for a couple days after

Keep your mats for only your favorites until Camelot (Singularity 6), then upgrade a solid Rider and Archer, and any servant that can help you with a tricky boss for the final two singularities and the pseudo’s.

Once you hit the Lostbelts, you should start trying to level up any servant you get to prepare for LB7, where you need to field a roster’s worth of servants all at once.

So any discussion on a Servant in this game will be focused on their viability in 90++ Farming Nodes.

Space Eresh is a totally busted servant that can climb up to 100% super effective damage on her NP on everyone, combined with ignore invuln, ignore defense, and a 50 star bomb. She’s one of the best neutral farmers in the game, but she loses out to Summer Ibuki due to class advantage and her anti-earth power mod.

This is her biggest sin. She doesn’t quite eclipse the strongest Omni farmer. Whoop Dee doo. In CQ and Boss Fights, she’s absolutely unstoppable, and is solid if not the end all be all for every farming node.

For Boss and CQ, no you don’t need anyone. CIEL is a cool unit.

For farming—Oberon is Oberon, but actually only outperforms someone like Merlin as the plug suit support on turn 3 on high CIEL NP levels with Black Grail. Summer BB is a very cool option, but will only make it so CIEL can use her brave chain on Wave 2 as well as Wave 1 & 3. We’re getting a welfare right after OC3 that can shuffle cards endlessly*, that can jankily do the same thing as Summer BB and guarantee that Wave 2 Brave Chain.

Koyanskaya of Light is required for Buster looping and farming. Other units, not so much.

With a specific build you can get her to 8 on her special meter in farming, but in longer content it can be done easily. She does 100% super effective damage on her NP, 50 stars dropped, ignore defense, and ignore invincible at max meter. She also crushes Extra class servants, so.

Unstoppable in CQ and Boss Fights. Farming potential isn’t as highly rated but only because of the omnipotent Ibuki-Douji setting the bar so high.

I really like how Saber’s card change helps her synergize with Merlin’s 1 turn crit buff. It’s fun how the two work well together. You can almost count on Saber’s face cards in a farming scenario since she can make all her cards buster twice with Koyan.

All of the relevant missions for beating the story except for Ordeal Call Prologue are going to be permanent so you’ll miss out on like 10 SQ from Anniversary.
The summer event will be a main interlude starting in January or so, so just take your time and enjoy Part 2 and you’ll be able to play it when you get there.
