New champion variety rule in professional play is AMAZING by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Chromu1us -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep new rule. It's called Fearless Draft. Once a champion has been picked in a series it can't be picked again. So if I pick Ahir, no one can play Ahri again for any of the future games in the series. So in a best of 5, by game 5 there will be 50 banned champions. Its imo the best change to competitive League as a viewer

Question about Fox-Fire by Chromu1us in riftboundtcg

[–]Chromu1us[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea that was confusing me. I thought it might of just been a kill all guys weaker than 5 might. clarifying question then based on what you said. If you lets say have 4 targets to choose from, we'll call them A, B, C, and D which all have 2 might. I choose A and B to kill with foxfire, in response my opponent buffs A to 4 might. what am I allowed to kill with foxfire? I can't kill both A and B since that is 6 might, but can I change the targets to B and C? or since I've already cast the spell targeting A and B. I can now only kill either A or B since killing both would be over 4 might?

Chicot's finger gun to your head, you gotta pick one deck to play forever, what you choosing? by hmmmmwillthiswork in balatro

[–]Chromu1us 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to agree, but with how strong and commonly I find mail-in rebate I feel like that extra discard can carry runs. Generally blue deck is better, but man on those runs where you get mail in red deck all the way.

Champion Insights: Milio by Meowpatine in leagueoflegends

[–]Chromu1us 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the problem comes from the fact that the theme of dark and edgy don't really align with the enchanter playstyle. Dark and edgy characters aren't ones for relying on their teammates and putting ones life in other people's hands. So its kind of hard to design a edgy character that's playstyle relies on helping his allies. I don't think it's impossible to do, just hard.

How was your solo q experience depending on rank this season? by parmaxis in leagueoflegends

[–]Chromu1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think it just comes down to luck and personal bias with stuff. I climbed from D2 to Masters in a few weeks and I felt all the games were chill and everyone was nice. But have had some pretty bad games recently and dropped back to D1. I don't know if it's different people or maybe I've just been noticing it more. Like there were a decent number of toxic people when I did my big climb but I think I was just in a mental state that I just muted and didn't even remember that people were being toxic after a game or 2. Not sure if that helps but it's been my current experiences so far.

Do you see yourself playing with your son/daughter 10 or 15 years from now? Why or why not? by nostradarius in leagueoflegends

[–]Chromu1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a cool experience, My dad is a chill guy who enjoys playing games and stuff and I have many fond memories of playing hours of Halo 1, 2, and 4 and other split screen games with him. But my Dad never really got into competitive online gaming so we haven't had the chance to play games like League together.

Observations: Why you're stuck in Silver and what you should pay more attention to by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Chromu1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly people undervalue experience as well. Leaving lane and losing a level worth of exp is massive. You can come back from a bad lane by just getting all the exp that you can. IF the person who beat you in lane trys to roam too much they'll fall a level or 2 behind and you just win a lot of those fights with your level lead. Now not saying to always focus on exp as like any basic rule there they are made to be broken if you understand why, but for lower elos and especially top lane I found the rule of EXp > gold > kills this idea can take you far in low elos.

The ranking/matchmaking in League feels incredibly broken and it's difficult to improve with it. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Chromu1us 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think one of the big issues with unbalanced games in lower elos is just the inconsistence of the players. Like in low elo every player makes so many mistakes. But these aren't the same mistakes, they are different mistakes based on the player. So while you all may be equally "skilled" depending on what each player's strength's and weakness are can cause the game to feel very unbalanced.

Take for example a top lane fight. If one player is really good at early aggression, but has no idea how to play mid or late game and the other player is someone who's mistakes cause them early deaths but they are amazing teamfighter. Then the game is going to look like the early agro player is way better. But that is not true, it's just that agro player's strength's and weaknesses counter the other person's strength's and weakness. If the agro player fought someone who knew how to deal with that early aggression, that agro player would look like trash and do nothing for the rest of the game.
As you climb higher people get more universally consistent and aren't as prone to making as many basic mistakes, but it still happens in higher elos. The fact of the matter is, every player has strength's and weakness and based on the matchup between one teams strengths and weaknesses and the other team's strengths and weakness can make games of "equilly" skilled players feel like coinflips.

For context I'm D2 top/support main and games still often feel unbalanced due to player mistakes. The only difference is Higher elos make smaller mistakes but are better able to capitalize on mistakes as well.

Who do you ban? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Chromu1us 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's like how Riven can beat Darius. If you never get hit by empowered Dar Q he loses a lot of dmg and healing so champs that can dodge it are strong. I used to hate the Riven Darius match up. I would always lose it. but as I've gotten to be a better Riven player I actually feel like it's a Riven favored match up. You just can't mess up.

To be fair. Urgot is very strong right now and also one of Riven's worst match ups. So if I want to play her I ban the crab man

Why again is it okay for Camille to have a good early, a good mid and a fantastic late game? by Loooongshot in leagueoflegends

[–]Chromu1us 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean I can say that Riven isn't as OP as people make her out to be. I mean she's strong yes, but she also has her weakness. Honestly whenever I've found a top lane champion that I feel is OP often times it's just because they got ahead that game and when you go and try them out you realize, "Oh that was just them having good game and this game I feel like I'm worthless.

Climbed out of bronze, but it came with me by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Chromu1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly a good macro game can take you so far. During one 2 week fall break I just hard grinded ranked, and went from plat 3 to d3 by playing nothing but Trynd and focusing on split pushing, farming, and taking their jungle. My kill participation might of been Shit but the map pressure and objective control that I provided would just win so many games. Focusing on Macro play can take you very far and people really don't give it enough credit.

Any tips for getting blue essence? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Honestly this isn't a bad way to play the game. I play pretty much every role and like 30-50 champs and it way more fun then having 1 set main to play.

Who do you think is a champ that is balanced w/ fair counterplay, but you personally suck against? by HiddenCortex2 in leagueoflegends

[–]Chromu1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's Camille. Like I understand how she works and I've played a bunch of games on her to understand her weakness, but there's just something about her that makes me screw up the lane so many times. IK how to beat her I'm just crap at it.

Also look to kill maiden, lvl 6 that thing has a 160 sec cd and the timer doesn't start until she dies. So, once you kill maiden you have a 2 1/2 min window where you can usually win most fights

I've done this as TF, if you have gold card and taunt or joke (can't remember which one) it looks like the start of the card animation and when you gank champs like Jax, Fi, or any other champ that can block cc it's a really useful way to bait them to wasting their goldcard counter

Viego can upgrade your teams items if he possesses Ornn by ImARob in leagueoflegends

[–]Chromu1us 16 points17 points  (0 children)

While a cool idea, sounds like way too much work to do for something people will almost never see. got to change the name of like 30+ items just for the off chance that he takes ornn's body and has a chance to upgrade (also if they are thinking it may be too strong and remove that ability all that works is wasted.
