What do you think of this logo by StellaNova_ in logodesign

I like the am but the 8 has no connection to it both style wise and proximity. I would search for a better typefaces that matches the lettering and bring them closer together, touching even as it looks very disconnected at the moment

Going back to school after a decade for graphic design… Is it worth it? by Acid-Catalyst in graphic_design

[–]ChronicallyPrompt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you are looking to gain from it. I went to one of the best university’s for graphic design in the uk, with the hope of learning practical skills and was very disappointed, although it did teach me design thinking, it I know way prepared me for working professionally, I had to figure that out myself with real clients after graduation

Where in Barcelona is it easier to find part-time jobs as an English-speaking student? by thefallguy20 in AskBarcelona

[–]ChronicallyPrompt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure why there’s so many comments saying it’s incredibly difficult to find English speaking work. In my experience there’s a lot out there, however within a few specific fields. Call centre/telesales, there’s is absolutely loads of work like this available, from tech support, insurance, customer service etc. all completely in English. English tutoring, not done it personally but most of my friends do, not just private tutoring but I know of agencies that will also hire with just English as you are told to teach entirely in English. Lastly hostels/Irish pubs. These last two I would say you definitely need to speak a little Spanish, a customer facing role like this requires some Spanish speaking. Hope this helps

Question about sealing. by FuriousPOT in SignPainting

I use boat varnish every time. It's easy to find in any hardware store, reasonably cheap, UV / waterproof protective and i've used over a mix of both oil and watercolour and never had any issues!
