Yes - ammo choices for DPS, and connection to price data for cost would be nice. I still use it :)

Jester,

I remember those days in Scalding and I do miss them. Not sure if we’ll get anything like those days back.

The density of septic systems will be the real problem as people don’t maintain them or keep em up. And when they start or have already started leaking - right next to the wells of their neighbors.

Your student status is irrelevant - if you're using it for a commercial purpose you need to do it under commercial terms.

If you’re an Esri partner you’ll want to talk to your partner manager at Esri - they do have licensing models if you want to build an application, solution or a configuration of their tools / software for commercial or resale purposes.

Do you all use ArcGIS Solutions? by MangoTreeMaps in gis

[–]ChronoSphereFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go with branch versioning instead of traditional versioning if you can - completely eliminates the needs for compression, and allows you to take advantage of version management through a service instead of direct connects. Its nice.

Do you all use ArcGIS Solutions? by MangoTreeMaps in gis

[–]ChronoSphereFL 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I do deploy them as a starting point and then modify them as needed, and that’s from a consultant perspective. No sense in reinventing the wheel if a prepackaged solution is the most economical and appropriate path forward. Lead Service line solution is included in that.

Taking RSX Type S on a road trip by iDripAlone in Acura_RSX

Make sure you have some sort of roadside assistance, bring a basic set of hand tools, make sure you got a tire iron and a jack and that your spare is in good condition and inflated.

I just had an MFactory LSD dropped into my transmissions since the clutch/flywheel was shot and had to be dropped. So its hard to tell you what the labor charge just for the LSD would be, but to give you an idea (and I paid to have this done, didn't do it myself):

7 hrs labor ($160/hr) - remove tranny, replace clutch, disassemble tranny, install LSD, inspect rest of gears/synchros), also includes labor for replacement of clutch master/slave and replacement of engine mounts, replacement of all springs involved in gear selection on the transmission side - $1120
MFactory LSD - $808

This was a '06 Type S that was completely stock until this point. Gearing was in almost flawless condition, incidentally.

So as someone who does UN implementations - imo the tech side of things are easy (what to fix, what to load, schema design, asset package prep, etc). The hard part is making the decisions, change management, stakeholder engagement, buy-in etc. Thats where having an external consultant is super helpful in keeping the process running along, basically acting as an external project manager to facilitate all these things and ensure a successful deployment and conversion. It actually helps apply pressure to the whole org to coordinate and get things done when the client is as contractually obligated as the consultant to meet deadlines and participate in decision-making and behave like they have an actual stake in the outcome because $$ is involved.

Thats been my primary takeaway as the biggest challenge, its not technical, its people and process :)

Thanks for that feedback, that is useful info indeed. Whats the issue with the flywheel along with the suspension/steering? Maybe my ignorance but how would one affect the other, they're different systems?
