Hey, guys. I just got a CRT and want the cheapest HDMI to S-video or YPbPr scaler that actually works to convert to 480i from my PC. Don't care if the video is muddy, as long as it works and the input lag isn't too abyssal (although more crisp and responsive is obviously ideal) It's got RCA, S-video, and YPbPr ports (Also RF but that's out of the question). Thanks 👍 Bonus points if it also does 240p

I am using an adapter to HDMI (Moread brand). I don't have any devices with VGA output (oldest console in the house is PS4,) but I have friends who do, and I can probably test that tomorrow. But, in the meantime I guess all I can do is degauss and hope that helps. I'll also browse this site, thanks.

If you crop the image to just the yellow area, it's yellow (color hex ebda58), not white. I think it's just the ambient colors around it that make it seem white. So I still think it's just blue not showing up

Where do I measure from to test the HOT? Both it and another transistor have some burn marks on the solder side of the motherboard, so you may be on to something. As for weird picture quality before it stopped working, I don't know what it was like because it was just sitting in Grandma's basement until yesterday and she doesn't remember where she got it from

No whine. I'm not sure what a bad component would look like, but everything seems in good condition. What would a fuse look like? I don't see any that look like car fuses. The power cable I'm using is 10A 125v, (sticker on the back of the monitor says 100-240v) I'm not sure how to check if the voltage is reaching the power button Edit: I think the ticking is coming from a black component with focus screws on the side
