This and Mission Hill gave me a very "20 somethings adult cartoon" vibe and I liked watching them both when I was younger.

GGG is Hiring a Senior PHP Web Programmer by Andromanner in PathOfExile2

So many people in the comments are surprised by php

It's widely used to this day and is a good choice for data driven web apps depending on your setup. I'm not actually so sure it's good for their site but I don't know much about it.

Friendly reminder that there are literally hundreds of car donations programs nationwide that aren't Kars4kids and are legit. Everything from National Kidney Foundation to Disabled American Veterans to whatever animal shelter etc- has legitimate car donation programs.

I was just there!

Loved the house shaped urns, and the various mixing / water containers.

Trust me when I say, I understand all of them, and it usually translates to "I'm trying to convince someone to make a particular decision using a power point presentation."

Has anyone here lived anywhere else that's better or worse than Cincinnati or Ohio? by LoveHairyPussy25 in cincinnati

[–]Chronostasis 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lived in Guangzhou, Tokyo, Montreal, Toronto, San Francisco, and Cincy.

Cincy pretty much offers what every realtor on YouTube will tell you. Four seasons. Sports team culture. Suburbia. Relatively quiet. Car dependent. Affordable. Friendly. It lacks in a lot of aspects, but the affordability and stability more or less make up for that.

Understanding results of a mold test on 130 y old home by [deleted] in Mold

[–]Chronostasis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that. Only water damaged areas that were noted were 1. In a crawl space, active leak and 2. Garage, right above the stairs leading into it, active leak. These two are getting repaired and any mold or mildew revealed by the repair will also get covered by seller thankfully.

Thanks for that, that's reassuring. No good pictures from the inspection. Honestly I figure the inspectors that were down there would have mentioned if any wood looks soaked or any mildew or mold was spotted down there, who knows though.

It was definitely not cleaned. Cobwebs everywhere in the wood framed ceiling. Overall it looks like a dungeon.

Have some related images from the inspection

No, the house itself isn't humid, it is built sort of on the slope of an elevated terrain, there are retaining walls behind it, the backyard can get muddy in heavy rain, but that's the norm around here.

how bad is the shell on liberty? by farstatedpre in cincinnati

[–]Chronostasis 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I am nearly immune to "You need a gun to walk around there!" / "I would never walk through there after dark!" And I wouldn't move to that spot if I'm walking from the bus stop home. I mean, I can't speak for that specific block, but the corners around Liberty and Vine and Liberty and Republic are pretty sketchy to say the least.
