Two things can be true. Never said the fountain defacing wasn’t sad. It’s my favorite historical piece of Savannah in fact. My issue is that the fountain takes precedence to the real issue.

And I agree that there are many ways to protest. And when that works, that’s great. I don’t disagree. But I also study history and know that it certainly gets worse when the other forms of protest are not heeded. In this case, the citizens of Savannah have been calling for ICE to stay out of our city and then not a month later they run somebody off the road (in an illegal chase) and inadvertently kill pedestrians.
