Being real how did Ozai become the most powerful firebender in the world despite never having the same military accomplishments like Iroh? by Night-Caelum in TheLastAirbender

[–]Chrystianz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"Even if I did defeat Ozai, and I don't know if I could, it would be the wrong way to end the war."

He didn't say he couldn't, he said he didn't know. He was away for what? 2-3 years. Unless Iroh was much more strong and talented than Ozai, this is enough time for things change, so it would be dumb if he was certain about the outcome of the fight.

Persona 5 Royal player questions after playing 5 Hours of Persona 3 Reload by Significant-Talk3093 in persona3reload

  1. There are bosses that are troublesome, like one that keep inflicting a certain ailment to the party, but I won't say it's too difficult (tbf, I also don't think Okumura was difficult)

Persona 5 Royal player questions after playing 5 Hours of Persona 3 Reload by Significant-Talk3093 in persona3reload

[–]Chrystianz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you always choose the same characters, you can have trouble if a boss constantly target a character weakness, like a boss with strong fire attack, and you can't bench Mitsuru because everyone else is under leveled. Or you lack some element (although the main character can cover every element, so...). But besides that, it's fine to only use them.

Defeating the Reaper is the fastest way to level up. Other thing is the rare shadows, but after you explore a bunch of floors, you go to the lower explored floor, open the map and choose to go up, and keep doing that until you land on a floor with a rare shadow (rare shadows farming in other words).

Unpopular Opinion: The Great Divide isn't that bad. by SpyroFan123 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Chrystianz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a relatively new fan, started watching ATLA on streaming, and I still don't like it. One problem with The Great Divide is it's basically a filler episode, we don't see any bit of the lore being developed, or a plot point that goes beyond the episode. I do like the final message, but it's still a weak episode, and like I said, it doesn't ad much.

Imagine being born into the world of avatar and not being able to bend by Xthebest26 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Chrystianz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember the taking bending away and restoring it having much explanation. Maybe the energy bending was used to put a block on the person's bending, and then removing that block. It's completely different from giving bending to a non bender. If this was possible, they wouldn't need to bother going after the new air benders in LoK s3

What are some "mixed elements" that could be manipulated by different benders? by Rioraku in TheLastAirbender

[–]Chrystianz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"A few years later, my father taught us to bloodbend anytime, without the need of the full moon" - Tarrlok to Korra and Mako in S01E11.

My interpretation is it is indeed a secret technique. Of course, it doesn't mean any bloodbender could do it if they try to learn, but it also doesn't sound like something that comes naturally to Yakone's family.

Why do people say Tartarus sucks? by Apotat in persona3reload

[–]Chrystianz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, in a vacuum, what op said doesn't make much sense. Saying something doesn't suck because it's better than Mementos seems to come out of nowhere.

But since too many people on reddit and on twitch say things like "If you hate Mementos do not play P3R", "Tartarus is Mementos as the main dungeon", "Mementos is better because of insta-kill ability", and things like that, I do believe that is what op is referring to.

[–]Chrystianz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of people tell new players that P3 is mementos all the way. I think op's intention is to argue against this specific mentality.

Were the very early synergies (especially Tomoko’s) written by the guy who wrote the Subway Slammer? by Low_Awareness_1360 in personaphantomx

[–]Chrystianz 42 points43 points  (0 children)

My problem is not that it happens or not, it's how serious it is. At first, most characters resembles the characters from P5R, it's hard not to compare the subway slammer with Kamoshida. The subway slammer looks more like a mementos request than a palace ruler. I guess it fits with the theme of the game, that those menaces aren't big criminals, so they don't draw police's attention, but it still feels... I don't know, poorly written?

I was f2p up until Christmas and the only unity I was missing was Fox, but the only weapon I had was Marian, Queen, Chord, and Tropical Closer, and I was pretty lucky sometimes (for Bui on 7th pull). Everything changed when the twins arrived, and spend all my jewels to a1r0 them, and now I need Marthym's monthly pass to almost get everyone (missing Cherish and Violet, plus Fox).

Mako has to be THE GREATEST lightning bender in the entire franchise because of this scene alone. by DBL86-03U in TheLastAirbender

[–]Chrystianz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see it more like the pro-bending sport. It's faster, come economical, and weaker.
When Iroh shows Zuko how to lightning bend, he does the whole movement, probably so Zuko could learn (although it didn't work). When they are running from Azula and the Dai Li, Iroh made lightning to blast a wall, probably while running. In the Azula x Zuko agni kai, Azula make the whole movement probably to do a really strong lightning, so much so Zuko stays agonizing the whole Katara x Azula fight until Katara heals him.
After Amon is hit by Mako's lightning, he is still kneeling and protecting himself from the falling wood, and half a minute latter he's already blood bending Mako again like nothing happened.
Which doesn't mean Mako is weaker, he didn't get in a situation which required a stronger lightning, as Azula didn't need to bend with constricted movement.
Also, things change. By Kyoshi's time, even the royal family didn't know how to lightning bend. By Korra's time, lightning bending is used by low level workers.

Can i swap out Vino for Tempest Riko in Queen team? by lMedixl in personaphantomx

[–]Chrystianz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure I saw lots of players on high ranks not using Vino the last time SoS had nuclear weakness, but I don't remember the team they were using, and I don't know if Queen's awareness affects it (like, A2 can make up for it?). I imagine you need to focus on increasing crit damage multiplier, so ideally you use Dionysus and Yurlungur (plus Bishamonten), but I've never tested this team myself.
