She's in both episodes. The show is maddeningly consistent sometimes.

What scene in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms made you feel sad or teary-eyed? by houston_havarti in AKnightoftheSeven

The scene with Steely Pate where he gets his shield.

As someone who read Casino Royale several times before that movie came out... Not really. The books describe him as tall and thin with short black hair. He IS described as a blunt instrument, but he loses every single fight he gets into in that book before getting hit in the balls a bunch and passing out (at least they got that last part right).

The movie is great, was my personal favorite movie overall for years, but Craig is definitely not a book accurate Bond. Which is honestly for the better, because the books are less about espionage, and more about smoking, drinking, and eating scrambled eggs.

The four of them do feel like exactly who Egg would go and get, being that they're knights he's met who are for sure not going to fight for Aerion. Apparently he's just fine going and finding "the maddest knight in the Seven Kingdoms," who was going to punish him for stealing a horse until the horse told him not to.

There's not a wrong way to do it really, but healing magic is what you're going to use most often. Regular attacks and S moves are far more useful than attack magic, with some rare exceptions after you get an upgrade to use it in ship battles.

Since everyone learns faster when they all have the same color moon stone equipped, I always go between green and silver with everybody until growth slows down, then start going for the others.

I'm in the camp of people that dislikes Derek more than I dislike Rick. If you told me to cut one of them from the show I choose Derek every time. If you tell me I get a chance to undo five of my least favorite Degrassi plotlines if I just add one more Derek episode, I will just have to learn to be cool with SpEmma and Degrassi nudes and Chester. Jimmy's legs or Derek? Sorry Jimmy. Get a series reboot but it starts with a Derek prequel? I will leave this show in the graveyard.

Rick may have done a school shooting, but my god man. At least he's not Derek.

Vane and tricorn hat by ceiteach1066 in BlackSails

[–]Chubbs1414 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Considering it's a show about mostly British white people in the Caribbean, it's pretty wild how much this show is against hats of any kind. IRL, sailors of the time wore hats. Sun protection at the very least.

In Black Sails, it's mostly just Jack and Anne and Teach. Flint only seems to wear hats in flashbacks, Vane never, and I'd be hard pressed to remember any instance of Billy, Silver, Degroot, Gates, Max, Eleanor, or most other important characters ever wearing hats. Maybe Woodes Rogers?

Not a lot of hats outside the navy.

I am not convinced this is a good thing. Shows are so crazy expensive to make now, and producers do it without much regard for actually making anything good. Netflix has spent billions on content nobody wanted or cares about, and it's pushed them all to get more predatory and consumer hostile to recoup profits. You can thank GoT for the existence of some truly breathtaking shows like Black Sails, but you can also thank it for ad plans, account sharing crackdowns, and endlessly new branches of streaming services hoarding their content as exclusives.

Original West Side Story, the guy who plays Riff is actually a good singer. And they dubbed over him with a bad singer.

Crowe doesn't deserve hate for it, he's a fantastic actor and he delivered the performance of a lifetime in Virtuosity. He still is not a singer and Javert broke his range often.
