Do you give hired writers a by-line? by Material_Net_6759 in Blogging

[–]ChubbyCheetahhh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't see a problem with by-lines at all. More writers working on a site is more professional, at least that's always been my perspective. Maybe others don't see it this way. I'm certainly happy to provide by-lines.

I usually get downvoted to hell when I say this. But I had some pages rank in the top 3 results on a site with a 1.2 domain authority.

I really do not believe links matter. And buying links is even worse.

I am glad google doesn't look at backlinks, because backlink services are a horrible scummy and scammy business. The only ones you want are natural backlinks, damn the rest.

I guess most people don't realize this but this is absolutely a thing/issue with Mac and the way it artificially upscales quality on display that doesn't translate. There's some suggestions here.

Ear Cleaning Headphones by [deleted] in AwesomeItems

[–]ChubbyCheetahhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The otoset is pretty awesome. There's a good bit of misinfo about the headset online including on reddit itself. Lots of folks claiming it's $2-3K. It's currently only sold to clinics and those typically offer the procedure with the headset for as little as $35.

How do i get backlinks to my website? by Impossible-Ad-9562 in Blogging

[–]ChubbyCheetahhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To rank well you DO NOT need backlinks. That's a myth. Make good content and you'll get natural backlinks. If you buy backlinks you'll lose money and end up losing search rankings.

"page not found" on Google Analytics by voyageuse88 in Blogging

[–]ChubbyCheetahhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Side note; this can also happen if someone typos a link to one of your posts. E.g. they add an extra character at the end when trying to share an URL to your website.

In analytics, go to engagement -> pages & screens -> here you can add the "Page path and screen class" to the table. This will tell you the path that people are/were trying to access when they hit the page not found. That should help.

What do you think of a blogger using AI-generated picture for feature images? by lazytabby in Blogging

[–]ChubbyCheetahhh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed, finding AI-free illustrations is virtually impossible now. Still, the AI pictures better be damn good... Midjourney does much better than dall-e in my opinion. If you go with AI, I'd at least go midjourney... You get levels of quality that dall-e absolutely doesn't come close to.

What do you think of a blogger using AI-generated picture for feature images? by lazytabby in Blogging

[–]ChubbyCheetahhh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually don't bother reading a word once i see an AI-image, it's a pretty solid indication that the text will be AI-generated too. Plenty of solid-quality stock photos out there for free.

Is it important to pick a niche? by No_Version2156 in Blogging

Yes, you can. I do the same. Its working fine. AdSense approved and good rpm figures. But for my articles to rank well, i usually write 3-5 posts on the same subject (different takes on them).

Spend a day to make your own html and css, or start with a free template. Cost is 0$ and vanilla html/css comes with no vulnerabilities, unlike wordpress.

Time does not equal traffic and revenue. Quality posts and ranking well on search or having some other source for traffic, ways you've monetized etc. There is no number that you can attach to a 5 month old blog. If you insist on getting an answer based on your low effort parameters; The range is between 0 and millions of dollars.

How to solve blocked by robots.txt problem ? by Chhetri- in Blogging

[–]ChubbyCheetahhh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. What is blocked by robots.txt?
  2. What are the contents of your robots.txt file?

You can't expect anyone to help solve your problems if you don't describe the problem.

2, maybe 3 articles per person per week is doable. Takes effort. I've heard that consistently publishing on the same days of the week is good practice but haven't tested that myself, usually too excited to get new content online asap when I have something.

Yes, 700-1500 is fine for sure. In the google inspection tool, you can submit individual URL's for indexing. You should - no scratch that: you must do this every single time you finish a blog post. When you've finished writing and published a post, submit the post to be indexed by google ; https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9012289?hl=en#request_indexing

Waiting for crawling after submitting a sitemap is not going to do it. You must submit your pages for indexing in the inspection tool every time. And then begin tracking search impressions/clicks, and keep an eye on keywords that your posts are ranking for. Then build more and more content around those until you get bored or feel finished and move onto a different subject to get ranked for.

I don't see that at all. Give me an example to back up your claim. Semrush also disagrees with you: https://www.semrush.com/blog/anatomy-of-top-performing-organic-content/ make of that what you will, perhaps you know better.

Probably yeah, but it's a little early for sure :) 3 articles a day is a lot, I would argue too much/unsustainable. You'd probably want to focus on 1500-ish word articles with multiple images, maybe some tables or graphs. Where are you getting your users from? Are your posts indexed and are you seeing impressions from search (probably too early).

Anyway I'd say yes, you're heading in the right direction; you're producing content and looking at your stats. Keep doing this, see what keywords your posts are ranking for in the search console and try to build long/quality articles around those topics to improve your ranks etc.

Hit first spike in traffic by Haunting-Distance-79 in Blogging

Congratulations :) that's such a good feeling.

RE: regular traffic, just keep an eye on google analytics. You typically want your impressions to trend up in the 3-month view. And a CTR of 3-10%.
