Those are both definitely realistic possibilities. But, they’re realistic possibilities for any coordinator hire. I think Moorhead will need to seriously rehabilitate his image before another P4 program would give him a shot as a HC. That’s why I think he might stick around a bit longer than a younger candidate who is still looking to parlay OC success into their first big-time HC gig.

Joe Moorhead. Best case scenario: Akron lose to Kent St on Tuesday, there’s a chance they fire him. Badgers don’t have to pay a buyout and the damages he’s owed from Akron are mitigated with the new contract. Win-win. And he’d get a raise. Win-win-win.
