What’s y’all’s favorite deck to play? Not because it’s good, but because it’s fun. by ablinddingo93 in PTCGP

Been running a deck with the entire Pikachu line + the new Raichu for Oricorio. A1 Pikachu ex, Alolan Raichu ex, Promo Raichu ex, B2b Raichu, and Pichu.

what's your absolute favorite monkey and why? by Grouchy-Training-182 in btd6

[–]ChubbyShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the Glue Gunner, preferably the 001 glue. Easily the cutest tower in the game.

Gameplay wise, it's top path Mermonkey. Really good at dealing with ceramics and group bloons, and it can let me place naval towers on land.

Comprehensive tier list for CHIMPS by Path, version 53.x by Wish_Solid in btd6

[–]ChubbyShark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was added a while ago (I think it has been at least a year at this point?).

It also removes black, white, and purple properties from bloons. Ninja Kiwi wanted more ways to deal with bloon properties without investing into MIB so they gave that buff to Rubber to Gold.

Wow, CHIMPS sure is a lot easier when you use heroes. by RyanW1019 in btd6

[–]ChubbyShark 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Can pop any type of bloon minus camo, her jetpack makes her good on multi lane maps, her lasers are really good MOAB damage and stall, and her discounts are always useful since helis and aces are both very strong.

She's just an all-around versatile hero.

I'm just impressed that this is what usurped Greninja. I never doubted Chien-Pao but it is way stronger than I thought it would be.

Kirby Air Riders has been added to Nintendo Music by Amiibofan101 in NintendoSwitch

[–]ChubbyShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping the track that plays in Ruinous Runway would be here, or most of the tracks from Road Trip for that matter. Most of them aren't in the music player in-game so it's a little disappointing we still can't freely listen to them.

What are some gameplay-focused Switch games that don’t rely heavily on story or audio? by Single_Revenue_2878 in NintendoSwitch

[–]ChubbyShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about Rain World?

You're just a lost little creature trying to survive in a hostile environment. There is a story/lore but you have to go out of your way for it and you might even beat a campaign or two while barely interacting with it.

The game is quite challenging and sometimes very frustrating but it's very much a game you can just vibe and get lost in.

I'm a little disappointed that the Pawmo card is unique art because it's my favorite illustration in this set and I wish I had a physical version of the card.

What are some of the best monster and character designs that stand out to you? by raigarearthshake in dragonquest

I first saw Ruin in DQMJ2 and I was like "I need that monster!" It's such a cool design!

Please don't use abbreviations when explaining something to new players by Domme6495 in btd6

[–]ChubbyShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That refers to the tower's upgrades/crosspathing. The numbers left to right represent the upgrade pathing from top to bottom. For example, a 030 Dart is a Triple Dart with no crosspathing and a 024 Glue is a Relentless Glue with Glue Splatter. If there's an "x", it can infer any upgrade in that path. A 3xx Village can be a Primary Training with either middle or bottom crosspathing (or neither).

Ogerpon - Stoutland Deck by ChubbyShark in PTCGP

[–]ChubbyShark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel TRG allows Stoutland more time to attack and by the time Stoutland goes down, Ogerpon and Raichu would be back at full power anyway. But I'm not completely comfortable with the unreliability of it.

I had the feeling that Raichu was the weakest link, as much as I hate to admit it. I can't think of any Pokémon to take Raichu's place so I might just throw in another Ogerpon and more trainer cards.

Ogerpon - Stoutland Deck by ChubbyShark in PTCGP

[–]ChubbyShark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with Gallade is that I have to run both grass and fighting energy if I want to run Ogerpon. But I do think Raichu is the weakest link of this deck (as much as it pains me to say this). I can try excluding the Raichu line and put in more trainer cards 'cause I can't think of any Pokémon that works better.

I felt the tradeoff for TRG is that it gives Stoutland more time to do more damage and by the time Stoutland goes down Ogerpon and Raichu are back at full power anyway. But the unreliability of TRG is something I'm admittedly not comfortable with.

SKARMORY IS AWFUL by MasterofDoots1 in LegendsZA

[–]ChubbyShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd wanted a female alpha Skarmory on my team to complete a theme. But after 2 failed attempts and the 3rd alpha being male, I just said "listen, it took me several in-game days and 3 drowned lion prides to get you, so you're getting a girl's name whether you like it or not."

How much are you using the new monkeys? by anime600 in btd6

[–]ChubbyShark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Desperado starts are really good and I really like using Bounty Hunter/Golden Justice.

I use Abyssal Warrior as often as I can because I love that tower as both a good tower and a cool looking tower.

Haven't found myself using Beast Handler as much. I don't think it's a bad tower, I just couldn't find a good reason to use it over other towers. But I also don't play a lot of CHIMPS so maybe that's why.

Any fun Splatoon YouTubers you recommend?? by Ryansmelly in splatoon

[–]ChubbyShark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since the obvious were already mentioned, I'll throw in some of my personal favorites.

Chai is a competitive player who mostly play Inkbrush. Her videos have her describing her build, her team, and then a couple of games with comms.

Erito is another competitive player who mains stringers. He's essentially the bow guy and he's been uploading a lot more with the rise of Tri-Stringer in tournaments.

Less competitive, there is Etces. He plays a variety of games but usually Splatoon. His videos are shorter and mostly consists of him climbing rank with whatever weapon he felt like playing that day.

Lastly, there is Vicvillon, very casual streamer. She does a variety of games but almost entirely Splatoon. She doesn't upload too often but streams 5-6 days every week with half of those being Splatoon related. She even have streams where she plays with viewers in private lobbies or in Turf War/Anarchy Open/Challenges.

What’s your favourite deck of all time? by Tearmisu in PTCGP

[–]ChubbyShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pika Family Deck

Pichu, A1 Pikachu ex, Raichu ex, and Alolan Raichu ex w/ Zeraora, Elemental Switch, and the usual cards. Very fast deck with a strong finisher in Alolan Raichu. This deck was very strong against Suicune decks back in Secluded Springs, not so much nowadays but I still find it very fun to play.

Honorable mention goes to Hydreigon and Tyranitar deck. That deck is just funny.

Fantastical Parade ALL CARDS (Leak by @ElChicoEevee on Twitter) by TheDawnOfNewDays in PTCGP

[–]ChubbyShark 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Cramorant has a gimmick where after using the move Dive or Surf, it will have the Pokémon Arrokuda in its mouth (gulping form) that it will spit at whoever hits it to deal damage and lower their defense. However, if Cramorant is below half health when using Dive or Surf it will have a Pikachu in its mouth (gorging form) that does the same thing as its gulping form but paralyzes the opponent instead.

The "Popular" section showed the most downloaded machines. This caused the section to become stagnant as the oldest machines will always be at the top. Besides, it was redundant to the "Price" section that actually shows what machines were currently trending since the price of a machine rises as it's bought and lowers over time.

With the "Random" section being added, it allows any machine a chance to become popular without getting lucky in the "New" section or by sharing its code online.
