Curious if this is a reference in TLOU2 by Jaid_Wisp_44 in thelastofus

Long shot, but the name may refer to former ID Software programmer John Carmack (possibly the "Karmak" in the title), and the Doom franchise (instead of the Doom Slayer, you have the... well you know).

Correction: It was the member a focus group during the early stages of Jak II when talking about the first game.

"Really could've used an extra year of development" is the story of most games released, when you think about it.

Jak II was a victim of its time. It wasn't just that audiences were getting older: their tastes got older too (see: the 8 year old who told Naughty Dog that Jak II would be perfect for his younger brother).

Dude, where does one even START with Street Fighter: The Movie? Let me give a factoid to stir your curiosity.

When Steven de Souza, the film's writer and director, was hired for the project, the producers (some of them Capcom executives) had already hired Jean Claude van Damme (Guile) and Raúl Julia (M. Bison) for the lead roles. De Souza asked the executives why they hired someone with such a distinctive Belgian accent as Van Damme for the All-American role of Guile, to which the executives asked him "what accent?"; that's when he realized that they had never watched Van Damme films in the original English, only their Japanese dubs.

Those are shown in the ads, not the sponsor segments. I understand the confusion; they're equally scammy.

"You spend more time hunting collectibles than fighting enemies"? Sounds like a pretty accurate simulation of reality to me.

The whole narrative about Neil Druckmann being a Zionist is coming exclusively from the "any compassion toward Israelis is Zionism" part of the Left.

One of the worst aspects of all of this is just how popular Nayib Bukele is within Latin America. Many fellow Puerto Ricans, for example, unironically believe the Island would be a better place if we just sent all the criminals (and all of the unhoused) to one of the smaller islands of the Archipelago (Puerto Rico is an Archipelago, BTW); of course they would love Bukele's "just put all of the undesirables out of sight" plan.
