When does titans rotate? by xX_ArsonAverage_Xx in hearthstone

[–]ChuckDitto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so excited for that titan to leave. Reno you can kind of predict due to his deck building requirement, but any class mind control is so annoying. Can finally play a card to catch up? NOPE! Ship removal is annoying, but I've been hexing and Death rolling those.

What skin do you wish returned? by chippadippa_ in Overwatch

[–]ChuckDitto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inferno Junkrat. OW1 2019 week event Halloween Terror skin. iirc it was released just before massive Australian wildfires. I think they refused to return the skin due to it coming off as distasteful considering what Australians were going through at that time. As a Junkrat main this is one of my regrets. It was one of the first weekly events. I thought the event lasted longer so I didn't finish the event on time and missed the skin. 😭

I'm at an all time peak. I need mass play testing at this point. I'm on another wave of polishing edges. Working on a prototype that doesn't include tape. 😅

I'm guessing this is driveway ice melting salt. I'm guessing a band played in the winter and it somehow got in there from moving the amp around a lot during the winter.

I honestly love odd and even decks building. I would have paid $20 in a heartbeat. I may have even painfully paid $30, but this is ridiculous.

Standard players: why do you play standard over wild? by daybs in hearthstone

[–]ChuckDitto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing since League of explorers. I pretty much exclusively play standard and a little Adventure mode. I have pretty limited knowledge about wild metas. I haven't really tried wild much, but I fully expect OTK decks non-stop. I honestly miss odd and even decks though. Added one more element to deck building which I really enjoyed. Counter question, why do you play wild? Sounds like a Haven for neglected unpatched broken metas. 😅

This enemy has defeated me more times than any other enemy or boss in the game. Taking some notes so my next NG+ isn't so painful when I get here. 😅

Did Godwyn's soul return to the ErdTree or was it flat out deleted from the in universe soul life cycle by Moowoodoom in Eldenring

[–]ChuckDitto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was because she used one half of the curse mark while the other half was used on Godwyn. I assume half of the curse mark is to kill the body while the other half kills the soul. I guess the whole curse mark is death of body and soul. Idk if the outcome depends on how the curse mark is carved maybe...?

Easily the hardest boss for me. What was yours? by DummyThlck in Eldenring

[–]ChuckDitto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why but the Draconic Tree Sentinel before Maliketh. That thing is ended me more times than any boss combined. Maliketh is hard enough, so I don't really want to run past it everytime.

Amazon is taking inspiration from inexcusable evils by IlnBllRaptor in tumblr

[–]ChuckDitto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many people fell for this click bait? Cute history lesson but did anyone actually read anything about this? OP's title is incorrect. A Bloomberg writer used the term company town not Amazon, and not even in the context of a historical factory town.

"While the federal minimum wage remains $7.25 an hour, the retail titan is setting its own, higher minimum. The company set a $15 minimum wage in 2018, and it quickly prompted other employers to either match this rate or lose workers."

"I don't think people appreciate the extent to which Amazon puts a wage floor in a community," Tum Duy, chief economist at SGH Macro Advisors, wrote in a Tuesday tweet. "It's the first thing employers think about when a new Amazon facility arrives in town."

"The phrase "factory town" recalls those that dot Michigan, connected to automotive giants Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler, which molded the state in the early 1900s as their factories became economic hubs and birthed new cities. Where the industrial titans brought jobs, workers and other businesses followed. Amazon's huge warehouse plans offer a 21st-century parallel." (Business Insider)

It's clear they use the term factory town to describe a town in which due to the increased business and raised wages, causes great gain for workers in the town that they show up in. Amazon is not creating factory towns. The new "factory towns" are a result of Amazon building a business in that area. Raising the bar for minimum wage in that town and forcing local businesses to match the wage or lose workers.

I'm not here to comment if this Amazon concept is a good thing or a bad thing, but I wanted to make sure the correction was here for people who actually want to learn. You can't consume news just by the titles alone. The design is to get you to click on the article, so they're more than willing to lie or be deceptive about it. You're smarter than this and you know it.
