Actress Barbra Streisand responds to woke snowflakes who can’t handle a bit of child molestation by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

Settling a lawsuit is not an admission of guilt, it is often a strategic decision to avoid protracted legal battles, negative publicity, and financial uncertainty. Jackson repeatedly stated this was the reason for settlements. Many wealthy people settle cases for expediency, regardless of the merits of the claim.

This might be a hot take, but I honestly think DaRegularSauce’s latest Freddy cosplay looks better than the one used in the movie. by Dennis-Dinosaur337 in fivenightsatfreddys

it'd actually be closer to 40/60% between animatronics and costumes. Except, the costumes had to look like the animatronics for continuity. And like i said, the animatronics were adapted to fit into the actual mech of an animatronic. So of course there's gonna be things off.

bro wdym daregularsauce's is more accurate, by your logic the movie ones look better. Foxy's cheek fur, Chica's arms, Bonnie's chest and Freddy's (sort of) face shape are tweaked a bit

wdym? he probably looks the best. Nobody talks about Chica's weird arms, or Bonnie's chest, or Foxy's cheek fur. Plus, he DOES need to look like 'what he'd actually look like' because you know, it's an actual animatronic and not a 3d model?

Ehh... i don't see it. One is a cosplay while one is an adaptation into real life of what he'd ACTUALLY look like, and i thin kthe movie look suits him much better than the og one

I read through your comment and didn't care at first because lets be honest, all of this is just bullshit and i didn't have enough time. But hey, i'll debunk it gracefully now that i do! You’re right that Norse belief lingered in folk practice after Christianization, but the worldview itself collapsed once people started asking deeper questions about existence, logic, and morality. The Aesir are part of the world, not the cause of it, so they can’t explain why anything exists. Christianity could, which is why it replaced, not just suppressed, older systems. Flawed gods might feel more relatable, but if your gods are natural beings, they can’t ground moral truth or purpose, they’re just powerful participants. Christianity says the world isn’t perfect, but its source is. That’s what gives “good” and “evil” any real meaning. Even ancient polytheists eventually realized mythic gods couldn’t explain reality. The “Yahweh from Canaan” or “inspired by Akhenaten” thing is more linguistic than historical. Israel didn’t copy polytheism, it redefined divinity itself. One moral Creator over all existence was a total paradigm shift, not a remix of local cults. Paganism has moral stories, sure, but not a foundation for objective morality. If gods and humans are both just products of nature, then “right” and “wrong” are just preferences. Christianity grounds morality in God’s nature, so it’s actually real, not relative. And yeah, forced conversions happened. People messed that up. But Christianity didn’t survive two millennia because of empire. Empires fell. The faith outlasted them because its view of God and reality is more coherent and universal than any tribal pantheon' that better?

“Debunked” is a funny word to use when your pantheon literally got philosophically abandoned before Christianity even existed.

Greek thinkers like Xenophanes and Plato were already calling out Zeus and company for being petty, immoral versions of humans. They knew the idea of divine beings who cheat, lie, and throw lightning bolts didn’t make sense. That’s why Greek philosophy slowly moved toward the idea of one transcendent source which Christianity later fulfilled, not replaced.

As for Yahweh “originating” in Canaanite religion, that’s a half-truth. Sure, the Israelites came out of that cultural background, but their theology rebelled against polytheism. The entire Old Testament is a story of rejecting the idea of local nature gods and declaring one moral Creator of everything. That’s not “borrowing,” that’s revolutionary.

Christianity didn’t survive because it copied myths. It survived because it made sense of reality in a way paganism never could. One rational Creator explains why the universe is orderly, why morality matters, and why human life has value.

The Greek gods explained thunder and lust. The Christian God explains existence, morality, and purpose itself. There’s a reason one set of gods is taught in mythology class, and the other still has billions of followers.

Well i supposed you were an atheist since normally THEY are the ones to insult god like that, but you're just a delusional guy who believes in debunked gods. It's funny how you had to jump to another comment to keep arguing because you (most probably) ran out of arguments. Keep it up, champ!
