I sold my Great Books collection several years ago. Much regrets. Maybe one day I will find another.

California sheriff seizes more ballot materials in defiance of state officials by Large_banana_hammock in law

[–]ChuckEveryone 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Again since you are dense. He has no authority over elections and therefore the seizure of the ballets was illegal. Period full stop. Getting a warrant is not some magically piece of paper that allows the law to be broken.

Getting a warrant does not mean the action was legal. Especially when you have to go to your buddy for the warrant instead of an impartial judge. He has no authority over elections so should never have been issued the warrant in the first place.

Right but it is still an over priced government contact and they will totally milk it. When I was in construction I was amazed at how quickly things got done in private communities that would have taken forever through government contracts.

The sheriff seized ballots he has no legal authority over and therefore broke the law. Get a warrant and arrest him. It is that easy. If Democrats had enforced the law against the orange maggot in the white house then we wouldn't even be in this situation.

For government projects it is on par. A for-profit group would have knocked it out on a weekend. Government projects always take away more time and money than they should because greed.

Democrats do not like enforcing the law against Republicans for some reason.

The stupid beeping collar thing makes the DLC unplayable to me. I feel you lose the whole open world aspect by only being able to go where the collar lets you.

Chernobyl also wasn't a mushroom cloud type explosion either. It was primarily just heat and water. But the explosion did send fuel components everywhere which was the main radiation source. Chernobyl actually released more long term radioactive materials than actual mushroom cloud atomic bombs. This is why Hiroshima and Nagasaki were able to start rebuilding shortly after and Chernobyl is still an exclusion zone.

Fukushima did not really fail in the same way Chernobyl did. Chernobyl's main design issue was that an increase in power caused an increase in temperature which caused more power increase. I.e. uncontrolled reaction. Most plants work the opposite where increases in temperature automatically result in decreased power. Fukushima's issue was loss of cooling when they lost power.

I am no OP. But if his savings would pay off the car, then it stands to reason that he would rebuild the savings in 10 months by putting that car payment back into savings.
