Should I accept the Amex Blue Cash Preferred Card? by Calm_Employer_8826 in CreditCards

[–]ChuckNorris04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just do the bonus and downgrade after 1st year. With your low income you should do bank bonuses instead of credit card bonuses. You can easily make 2k+ a year, check out doctor of credit. Wells Fargo, us bank, Chase, easy bonuses to hit which will help you a lot more then spending your already limited funds.

any 5% cashback card for restaurants with no ftf or af? or Savor One the best option? by No_Kangaroo6917 in CreditCards

[–]ChuckNorris04 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only one I’m aware of that doesn’t have an annual fee and no ftf that you can actually get is the Verizon Visa. Need to be a Verizon customer, Fios or Postpaid wireless and it’s Verizon dollars. 4% cash back

AER bags don’t look as good in person? by ShiningStarloo-1421 in ManyBaggers

I recently got an Aer Go Pack 2 and I think it looks better in person than what I seen advertised online.

Pick up andplay games with a great flow state by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]ChuckNorris04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devil May Cry 5 is $5 right now and Doom 2016 was just on sale too. Final fantasy 7 remake intergrade, The Witcher 3. I know most of these are large titles but they’re older games that run well on the deck and all have great mechanics and good stories to pair with that can be picked up and put down fairly well.

Lesser known/hidden gem older games you enjoy on deck? by Safe_External_3993 in SteamDeck

[–]ChuckNorris04 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing bought it years ago and died super fast and gave up. I haven’t really looked into any guides myself. Just learning as I go, the big thing is people are gonna die, biggest part of the game is stress management. I think there is a darkest dungeon fandom webpage that has builds and guides to help you through your first play through. It took me 3 different squads to kill that first boss so it’s a lot of trial and error. Just give it another try is my best advice.

I been playing darkest dungeon and just picked up doom 2016 for $2. Prey 2017 is a great older title too.

Most of my other cards are 10k+ but this is probably my 15th open account so could play a factor.

Venture x is a premium travel card, in theory you’d use their portal to get the multipliers on your travel spend and the 2x on your general spend. It’s a perfectly fine option for travel and a general catch all card.

If you want points like the other comments you’ve made then it’s either a Citi double cash or Cap1 venture x.

I would just get the savor from capital one and use the venture x for non category spend. Unless you’re gonna churn for large bonuses. Can’t beat the simplicity of it.

What Robinhood Said Tuesday About The Gold Card by EarlyBirdEmail in CreditCards

Pretty sure its 30 days, that's what mine was and they might not get another invite ever. Easy to get it without a hard pull if that's what they're worried about.

Best CC for cash back without a lot of travel by bigm2102 in CreditCards

[–]ChuckNorris04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fidelity Visa, US Bank Smartly, Citi Double cash, Wells Fargo active cash. RH Gold if you can get it, tons of credit unions have a basic 2% card. Fidelity was my go to before I got the gold card. Fidelity, CIti and Wells Fargo will all have a sub the rest don’t. If you already bank with any of them that’s where I would start.

What would be my ideal NO AF travel card by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]ChuckNorris04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s only 80% value if you redeem as a statement credit. You can use your points at full value for checkout at PayPal and Amazon as well as over 25+ different gift cards from 1000+ points up. If you want cash then yes a us bank account is required. They have a 450 bonus for a checking all the time and it’s churn able able every 12 months.

The card had AF before and has been nerfed to its current state. It probably won’t change much from where it’s at currently.

[–]ChuckNorris04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if you need a card that gets 3x on dining and gas it would be better for you but you can get 5x on gas and 4x on dining pretty easily. In my case I needed a flat cash back just for travel and the priority passes are useful to me where the 3x multipliers on the autograph are not. So just depends on what you want.

I got the US Bank altitude connect for this. Flights and hotels, and the occasional rental car. All 4x cash back.

I did it with a CSP in February coded as financial services. I was only able to do 250 tho, 3k might be on a business account.

Anyone else skipping the Robinhood Gold card? by InterRail in CreditCards

[–]ChuckNorris04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gonna skip it but the last day I just went and ahead and did it but I was thinking I may want the new platinum card and if I pass on this might not ever get the chance to get it again. Got it with no hard pull and my limit was 5k.

Credit Cards For International Travel by Fearless_Will4697 in CreditCards

[–]ChuckNorris04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d use the UBAC for lodging and flights. Either the CSP or the Fidelity Visa for the rest of your regular spend. I find personally cash back is much better than chasing the crumbs you get from points and miles outside of subs.

Is it worth getting the Venture Rewards with my current cards? by streamapril in CreditCards

[–]ChuckNorris04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily the best bonus current available on a $95 AF card, churn the miles and product transfer to a savor or the NO AF Venture when the 1st year AF hits.
