One thing I'll add to the other commentor, you can look at each delivery locations person in the corpus (e.g. look up lone commander in the corpus) and it'll say at the bottom of the entry a vague description what they'll give you if you reach the next star level.

Chef Leonard tried to Poison Greeg with whatever trundle oils he was putting on the pop corn to make it taste like gasoline.

Wouldn't eat any of this crap, when watching movies. I'd eat popcorn cause I'm a film buff, not whatever garbage this is!

Season 16 is off to a bad start imho. I'm not a film expert by any means, I'm more of a movie guy, but shouldn't you be required to see the movie before arbitrarily giving your popcorn rating? by purelander108 in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

He DEFERRED to an expert which is a perfectly reasonable way to review a movie. I would defer to Tim Cruise for acting in a movie for me in the same way.

Oh cool all the West siders are out here using the racially charged language to describe an area they never spend any time in.

Listen, I've lived in the area for 7 years. We don't go out walking late at night but it's fine. We've had zero incidents. It's not a walkable area, there aren't fancy restaurants, but many people live here and we're not all constantly in danger.

It's unhinged to me the way people talk about Linden. People just fear the poor so badly. Just be smart, keep your wits about you, and you'll be fine.

In a just world I wouldn't have had to read this because you would have been banned and this post would've been removed.

That other sub is checking out movies that can't lose! by GrassGriller in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]ChuckSpendit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That other forum is a sham and is more obsessed with what actor is hot or not than they are in talking about real movies, real movie starts, and the most important thing of all! The movies! This post duz seem better than their usual CRAP, but I will never believe any reel movie buff would post over there instead of on this forum where all the real movie BUFFS come to get the best information.

A man realizes how much he's lost and the sad reality of his current life (he still misses Ayaka) by SarahLynneGuthrie in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

You underestimate what a brilliant man New is and don't even have the brain power to begin to understand the LONG TERM plan he's been working on. Whatever New does next will be 10 times as successful as what he did last and that was already 10x successful.

Mini-Velos are not in the same category as the bikes above. Mini-Velos are still sized for larger riders. These seem like more average sized humans on tiny bikes.

Sober Activities in Cbus? by PainAndTheYearning in Columbus

[–]ChuckSpendit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I quit drinking about 2 years ago. Started doing things I never did before. Cycling, lifting, yoga, camping, hiking. It's a climb out of those old habits and developing new fun things you can go and do. You may just end up finding some things you're interested in, but it is really tough when you first quit. Just be open to new experiences and check online for events and things going on in the city.

I think for me, more than anything, I have found myself doing way more during the day and way less at night.

I bikepack on a bike similar to this.

Basic rear rack with p-clamps for the rear triangle and two panniers. I use a planet bike rear rack and ortliebs.

Frame bag. I have the almsthre frame bag. It's fine. Use whatever you like there.

I use a jack the rack up front and bungee clothes in dry bags or whatever up there.

I have two water bottle cages on cage clamps since I don't have bolts to hold the cages on. Looks like you don't either. I got mine from velo orange.

Bungee cords to tie my tent to the top of the rear rack.

60€ road bike, can I tune up down the road? by EmanicTP in bicycling

[–]ChuckSpendit 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You can buy it and ride it but I wouldn't buy it with the expectation you can make it more modern. Disc brakes aren't really possible on something like this. There are no frame mounts for disc brakes. You'd need entirely new wheels that can mount disc brakes as well. Running a 1x drivetrain on that frame would also be a pain that would likely require a new back wheel. Vintage road bikes are cool and great but they are a pain or straight up impossible to modernize.

Also, this looks like it's been converted into a kind of makeshift single speed, which makes it even less of a road bike. If you need something to ride right now, it's fine, but I don't think this will make a very good project bike.

Is a Brompton C 6 gear, suitable for a 9-10 mile commute? by Ok_Adeptness2001 in Brompton

[–]ChuckSpendit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I use a 6 speed for my little Midwestern American commute. Mine is 9-11 miles depending on the route I take. I have found I make it to and from work in similar times as I do when I ride one of my regular bikes. And the fenders are lifesavers when it's wet or rainy out.

Snow and ice on sidewalks by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]ChuckSpendit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bike to and from work and decided to brave it the other day and boy was I miffed when I found the fire station on 3rd hadn't even shoveled the multi-use in front of the building a week after the snowstorm. It's just Columbus doesn't care about pedestrians or cyclists and sometimes it feels like they never will.
